Accuracy International Picture Thread

This is prob a stupid question but why are people saying bolts are identical and the new action is a scaled down axsr when one has safety on the bolt and the other doesn’t ?

The bolt lift on my AXSR is somewhere between my ‘15 AX308 and my AT-X. But thats the same order of use they have as well. So might be just breaking in.

Seems like an overblown issue that you would only realize if you had time to play with them side by side.

Gave up on finding old skins for the AWSM. I have AW skins but cant mount the rear one of them due to the monopod ffs. She will get a classic rattle can finish within the next few days to reduce resale value that much i will never even consider selling her🤣

The rear skin has to be cut to fit the monopod. My understanding, that is what AI did.

Were there different skins for AW and AWSM? would be an absolute mess if i cut that skin and it does not fit afterwards. Any experience here guys?

*7 axis dreml noise*
There is a slight difference in the the skins but can be made to work. 7th Axis will make quick work of it though.

Fuckin baddass! how bout a picture of all of those trophies won with that ES atx?
First off, it’s Elite Moss…it was originally that gawd awful democrat blue that AI made. Our team was a couple points away from a Key / Trophy at Guardian Arena. We came in 5th.

The front, yes, due to magwell differences. The rear skins are identical between long or short actions.

Nice collection man! Congrats! AI represent! It’s like the “Predator” collecting his trophy heads. Thanks for the picture..

The heavy bolt lift union is probably going to file a grievance against me for this…but my discontinued and heavy bolt lift ATX got another first place finish @Steelcityprecision Rifleman’s Challenge.

Bolt lift United;
Mr. Bennett,
You’re snide remark in the midst of your “success”is nothing more than verbal flatulence. Once again, cease and desist from the weak posturing, it’s quite embarrassing for those who truly know… bolt lift.

I was watching a 2024 Shot show interview with Scott from Accuracy International North America on firearmsguide youtube channel. It was about the AX ELR. He said the 375/408 Cheytac bolts and magazine you could get from them in 2024. I was curious if they decided not to make and offer those 2 barrels?
I asked this question on the youtube video as well.
The video title is: Accuracy Int. AX ELR .50 BMG Anti Material Rifle- SHOT Show 2024.
It's only 3 minutes and 29 seconds, for anyone you wants to see if I missed something.

Okay, UPDATE on Shot Show.

Talked to a rep and told me the following:

AT/AW parts will still be sold indefinitely for now. He told me that the ATLE will still be in production and they have no plans to remove it. Therefore, AT/AW parts will still be manufactured and sold. AT/AW’s will not be sold commercially anymore (obviously from their email) but the parts will be.

Second, he couldn’t give me a reason why they left the firing pin out of the XC but said the bolt lift and feel will be similar to the AXSR action. Said the XC is just a smaller AXSR action. So it’s a totally different bolt and firing pin configuration than the ATX, therefore parts will not be interchangeable.

Further he said the XC is replacing the AXSA for LE which will be discontinued. Also said the XC LE will have a shorter hand guard to accommodate the 16” barrel that the commercial will not be offered in.

Lastly, said they will be coming out with a new “Sniper Gray” color for the ATLE that will only be available for LE. I asked if sniper gray would be available for any commercial firearms and he said they do not have any plans of it for commercial. Said they want to keep that color for LE.

Hope this helps

The whole LE specific bolt gun is fucking retarded.

Same thing for the different models of the same damn switch barrel action.

ASR vs AXSR… ATLE vs AT… AXMCLE vs AXMC… ATXC vs ATX… ATXC Mil vs ATXC…
I think it is to boost LE sales

They all have no self esteem and need to feel special and better.

I can’t help noticing that this thread and the DTI SRS thread both have 17k posts. That seems like a gross inequity, bordering on crime against humanity.
How can AI have only ten more pages than an AMP DSR-1 clone?
Diversity is a good thing they both have their place

Gotta be careful they multiply too though. Gotta have them all

Just sell it to cloners and get something more functional with the funds.
I am a cloner. That's my greatest problem.

Seriously though I don't have a range or know farmers to stretch past 1k anyway. I'd rather have the history piece than a normal magnum cal gun I shot a few times a year.

The only non clone rifles I own are my AI and and a little 300blk AR.

I am joining the AT club soon.

Which scope rail do you run -- high or low?

Why?

There is no night vision usage in my future.

Thank you in advance for the advice.

Low for my AT

High if you plan to run NV which you don’t seem to plan on doing
Thank you.

Do both rails have the same number of lugs that interface with the receiver?

It looks like the high rail here has two lugs:

It looks like the low rail here has one lug:

Someone else can chime in cause I’m not going to pull mine off to check it. I’m betting the parallel lug in the center is removable or in the gun itself. Both bases have the spot for it in your pic.

I removed the one on my AXMC years ago but I don’t recall if that lug was permanent or removable. I want to say it comes out and the “pin” style one is fixed in the scope rail

Again been a while since I messed with one off the gun

I’ll add it does state on the low one to use oblong existing scope recoil lug in the description. The high doesn’t state this

Which leaves me to assume the high one may be higher or something. So it comes with its own lug for that spot….

How does Eagle Eye perform? Their cartridges are pricey

Honestly, it has been good (and frigging expensive). It shot my first break-in groups into 4+1, so I just messed with seating depth a touch and .005 further in everything came together.

This is my second go-round at 655 and these results mirrored the first attempt.

When these are gone this barrel will never see a factory loaded round again 😄.

Are most of you running the pic rail instead of the dovetail mount?

Most are running the Pic rail, I believe most of the recent production rifles came with them.
