250 years ago today. It's estimated that only 3% of the population was fighting the British during the revolutionary war. During the entire year of 1781, the Continental Army did not get paid. When they were paid, the Continental Congress only gave the 3 months worth of back pay. Yet they fought on. Never forget what they and everyone after them did.

WE NEED @pmclaine TO WALK THESE ROUTES AGAIN!
Several years ago, I had the opportunity to visit the Minuteman National Park. I would have liked to walk the entire trail from Charlestown to Concord but didn't have the time. Nevertheless, it was still an experience to be there where it began.

Patrick Henry delivered his famous speech a little less than a month before the Battle of Lexington and Concord. This video has been posted several times before but still great to watch.

Unfortunately, given the way young people have been lost on the English language, 90% of them couldn't understand the speech much less care about it.

We need a time machine to transport some of them back in time to learn why our Constitution is so important.
