Norma 6.5 Creedmoor Golden Target match feedback

I’ve shot over 1k of the 143’s through probably 5 different barrels. They’re generally 0.5-0.66moa. Brass is soft, primer pockets are shallower than average & loosen quickly. Never shot the 130’s.

@DeathBeforeDismount has shot far more than that though, he’s your guy

I've had bad luck with two separate lots of the 143's - absolute best 10 round group was 0.8" but most were 1.25"+, speeds averaged under 2,600, SDs around 20, ES's around 80.

I pulled 100 projectiles and 20 of them had profoundly deep dings on the boat tail section. Dumped the powder, lubed the necks, reseated non-damaged projectiles and... didn't get much better, honestly.

Don't really feel like selling it off, so I use it for short range positional practice, breaking in barrels, etc.

I too have heard good things about the 130s, but don't have any personal experience there.

Factory SD/ES not good with my examples. Shoots decent(1moa+/-) good in one of my barrels around .7moa.

I couldn't get much better than 1moa or slightly under in my current barrel reloading the 130s. They do best when jumped a good bit, which is how the factory rounds are loaded.

I bought a couple thousand at .23 a bullet so we'll see on the next barrel.
