Night Vision N-Vision Clip On Thermal ?

This is indeed a new offering. The specs look and sound amazing. I believe this is going to be about as close to "milspec" as we are going to get re: durability and features for less money than competing Pixels on Target products.

I think the rumored price was 10K.

not out yet, its scheduled to be released later this year. If the specs are accurate, its going to be quite the value vs performace.

Definitely looking forward to seeing the Halo-C, they said release date is this summer. Ballistic calculator, range finder, several profiles can be saved for various rifles, etc, all big items.

Iray has a new 10 micron hybrid clip-on around the same price point they plan to release this year as well. The Iray also has a range finder and ballistic calculator but can be used as a stand alone optic as well as a clip-on.

I prefer to buy American with Nvision but Iray is competing so well it’s tough.

I have zero hands on experience with either unit but I do own a NOX18 and RL25v2 so a small sample from each company with similar units. I prefer the NOX for image quality but the 25mm lens of the RL25v2 adds some capability (to be expected from a larger lens / smaller FOV).

Just looking at specs, I’d guess the Iray hybrid compact will perform between the Nvision 50mm unit and say a Voodoo M albeit without a BAE sensor. The Iray has a 7.3 deg FOV while most 50mm units with a 12 micron sensor have 8.5-8.8 deg FOV.

If they are priced the same, I’ll take the Nvision because BAE sensor and optical collimation. Will be interesting to see how real world use stacks up though.

I'm hoping it's everything it's seeming like it could be! While I have zero interest in on board LRF, that just means I should be able to buy the cheaper model lol.
