    Hello all,

As the title states, who's using this stuff with success? I have a pound that I never opened and don't know what to do with it. I shoot the following:

    6.5 grendel
    .223
    .308
    6.5 creedmoor

I know it works on all the mentioned but the creedmoor. I've heard and read it's really dirty though, and most don't like it.

Is anyone shooting it and liking it? If so, what are you shooting it in? I shoot suppressed by the way.

    Thanks,

    Serg

I've been using BLC-2 in my 6.5 Grendel since I put a Bartlien light varmint barrel on my Howa mini. It's been surprisingly temp stable and extremely accurate. The rifle was supposed to be for my kids and has become a short range benchrest setup for local club events(sadly not officially recognized matches). Not winning compared to some of the purpose built and tuned rigs, however aggregate groups around 1/4 to 3/8" over six five shot groups at 100 and 5/8" at 200 yards. Loaded under 123 Scenars in Hornady brass.

BLC-2 is one of three powders I keep stocked up on. It's also surprisingly accurate in all of my AR's with every bullet combo I've tried. Works well in 308's out to 600 yards with 168 Matchkings and the classic 155 Scenars. Had really good results in a 6.5 Creedmoor with 123 Scenars as well. Not the fastest in the Creedmoor for the bullet weight but 10 round groups in the .4" range at 100 was decently acceptable. And a friend who recently moved to Vegas had really good results in his 6GT with it although I don't know his brass or bullet choices with it.

Overall I ended up trying this powder because at a certain time it was all I could find for certain rifles and now it's a staple on my shelf. Helps that it meters really well too. Like better than any other powder I have ever tried.

Good to know. I have a grendel that I use suppressed and one that I don't use suppressed. I may just load the blc2 in the one that I don't use the suppressor on.

For 308, are you guys loading with 155s & light bullets, or going up to 175s, etc?

155 gr-175 gr. It’s not the best for all applications, but its damn good for most things. I usually keep at least 32 lbs of it on hand. 308’s loaded on a progressive are hungry.
