Accuracy International (AICS) 1.5 LA build questions

Good afternoon everyone,
I bought an Accuracy International AICS 1.5 long action chassis (Non folding) online recently and I'm looking to build it out using a Bergara Wilderness B14 HMR in .300 win mag with the 26 inch barrel. As far as I know the B14 uses a Remington 700 pattern action. Will this action and barrel fit into this chassis? If not what would you guys recommend with a budget of around $1200?
My second question is regarding AICS AW magazines. I saw a post on Reddit saying that you need to cut your action in order to use AICS AW magazines is this true? What does cutting your action entail, and is there a magazine that will work without modification for the Bergara that I am looking at? The Bergara from factory takes AICS pattern magazines so I was assuming that as long as the action is inside a chassis system like the AICS 1.5 that the AW mags would run no problem.
I will insert some pictures of the chassis that I will be using as well as the Bergara and the magazines I was looking at.
Thanks everyone and happy Saturday!

I was watching that one on eBay to see what it went for. Nice snag!

The bergara should fit in fine, as long as it doesn’t have an oversized recoil lug (which I don’t think it does). Where you might see issues is the trigger, depending on what you decide to use. Early Timney sometimes had to have a little relief work done, I don’t know of the stock bergara triggers. Will be easy to tell when you get it though.

The long action single stack mags will work fine (and are what you need for the chassis anyways). The AW reference is for the double stack short action AW mags - they require some work in a stock Remington action to feed correctly since they’re staggered vs single feed (think AR mag + feed ramps vs single stack AICS mags).

I like Remington actions, especially ones that have gone off to a smith. If it were me that’s what I’d drop in and have it pretty close to the mk13 look. Nothing wrong with the Bergara though.

Thank you very much! That is definitely reassuring I will see what the Bergara competition trigger is like, if I have to do some filing or modification to fit thats not the end of the world. You can also still buy the factory AI competition triggers and required shoe online albeit for $600 lol. I will try and update this once I get everything together. Thanks again!

The AI competition triggers will be set up for AI actions, they won’t work with the Bergara (or any Remington 700 pattern action). Lots of other options though (Triggertech, Timney, etc) as needed. The Geissele super 700 triggers are one of my favorites, though they’ve been out of production for a bit.

Alright folks heres the update. I was able to pick up a folding chassis so I decided to run that over the non folding version (Unexpected benefit is that I can fit it into a smaller pelican case that will actually fit into the small ass trunk of my car. I can't fold the seats down so that is big deal for me to be able to fully lock it away out of sight when i'm traveling). The Bergara barrel and action fits but required a bit of a squeeze to get it into place, nothing crazy. I picked up a two stage triggertech special trigger as well. It shoots 1-1.5 moa groups @ 100 yards with factory Remington ammo. I know it will print under 1 moa with the right ammo so I will keep trying different brands. With the scope and empty mag it comes in at 15.6 lbs. I still need to buy a bipod and a different muzzle brake the factory Bergara omni one is not that great. I was a little skeptical about the gun metal finish on the Bergara but it doesn't look too bad, it's by no means a clone rifle but that stainless lilja barrel would look the part...

The build as of now:
Bergara b14 wilderness hmr 26'' barrel in .300 win mag
Triggertech Special trigger 2-stage
AICS 2.0 Folding
Vortex strike eagle 5-25x56
some basic vortex 34mm rings
warne 20 moa rem700 base
