Anyone own a Korth or few, ideally that shoots it a good bit? Or at least been around some with high round counts? How have they held up?

I’m thinking about buying an NXR 6” and curious about long term reliability. I see people mention their reliability but never mention round count and they usually look like museum pieces.

There was some really good vids from “life size potato” I think (dude is heavy into shooting euro stuff) on how the Korth and the manurhin kick the shit out of American guns and would last 5-10x longer in service when I went down this rabbit hole.

Now with newer imports I have no idea if this still holds true as some people have toasted newer mr73s. Theres a NHC Korth user over on 1911addicts that’s super pissed that his Korth is not up to snuff.

I and my wife own three. Her 9mm Sky Hawk has the most rounds of the three through it. Somewhere between 1k and 2k rounds. Not a lot. She shoots it on a regular basis, but only 30-40 rounds at a time to stay on current with it.

I own a SuperSport and a Mongoose 4". I have .357 mag and 9mm cylinders for both. Mine are mostly range toys and don't see near as many rounds as the guns I/we shoot on a weekly basis.

As expected, no problems with any of ours. The SS and Sky Hawk below.

I had an NXS, 8rd 357. It was nice but Nighthawk doesnt really offer any after market support and nothing else fits them. I sold it and used the funds to have TK Customs build me a couple N frame smiths with no MIM parts

I talked to a few people who owned them and did a lot of research and ultimately decided buying one wasn’t worth it. The conclusion I came to was that while they’re more refined and better fit than the typical commercial guns they’re really no more reliable and service/parts can be an issue.

I decided to just stick to Smiths and Rugers.
