I believe this is much more the case than many realize.

Dont know if this was lightning or wind but odd either way
Lightning. I have a 140’ oak in the woods that lightning ran straight down the trunk. It blew the bark off from the top to the roots in a perfectly straight line.

I found it a few days after I heard the strike because of all of the shards of bark blown out in a circle and thought it was weird til I looked up and saw the damage.

The tree died and it standing there like a statue. It’s probably dry and ready for firewood but it’s on a slope and surrounding by other monster trees, I don’t think imma mess with it. Eventually it will fall on its own and not kill me….probably.

Last week when I knew my wife was going to her mom’s, I bought a very nice grass fed USA ribeye from Aldi. I love their grass fed hamburger and lamb but usually buy steaks from Lowes Food. Lowes ribeyes are $25/lb…yes I know but really good steaks. This nice ribeye from Aldi is $15/lb, so I took a chance.

I cooked it Sunday evening and was absolutely impressed. It was so flavorful and tender. About 1.1lbs and 1.25” thick it just simply was a fantastic steak.

So…..yesterday I jetted down to Aldi again and bought another and cooked it last night.

It

Was

Even

Better

I didn’t believe what I was experiencing. It was top 3 steaks ever, maybe number 1 but at my age 🤷🏼‍♂️

They are vacuum sealed so ready to freeze. I am buying more before they are discontinued or something. So glad I am not Hindu.

I remember holding this baby the day he was delivered into my life. I remember every hurt and all turmoil melting into a love so pure that it still defies description. God is sovereign, He plans our moments and orders our steps.

What you think is tragic becomes the very thing that saves you.

Beauty from ashes.

5 years of seeing just how this works. Thank you Abba.

I once cut down a tree a week or two after it got hit. The inside was still smoldering.

I worked on a farm one summer in the late 70’s driving a hay rake. It got really froggy out and there was a tornado warning issued. We all got in a hay barn when it started to thunder and lightning. There were 5-6 Santa Gertrudis cows out in the field and a bull got struck in the shoulder and blew its ass out , literally. It dropped to the ground and spasmed for a minute. The foreman tried to salvage some meat ,but it was too messed up to save much. He weighed close to 2K and was his prized bull.
Lightening don’t play !

He’s lucky to have a great granddad 👍
I never thought my daughter would ever have a baby. Totally surprised when she told me she was going to have a kid. She made me a first time granddad that will be 2 in October. Waited 70 years to hold my granddaughter. 😍 Nothing like it !

From the 'blurb' that accompanied the image:

"In one of the most unexpected experiments in behavioral science, researchers at Yale taught capuchin monkeys how to use money small silver tokens that could be exchanged for food. But once the monkeys grasped the concept of currency, things took a wild turn.

Not only did they learn to budget, steal, and bargain… but shockingly, one monkey was even observed trading tokens for sex. Yes, monkeys invented prostitution all on their own.

It’s a fascinating (and slightly hilarious) look at how deep-rooted some human-like behaviors really are."

Now really... is anyone surprised that the first thing they did with money was steal it and become prostitutes? I mean.... is ANYONE surprised?

And this applies just as much to white trash meth-heads as it does to the folks lots are thinking of... We're all basically inquisitive, acquisitive, power-hungry, horney, territorial, scheming little monkeys. It's deep in our brains!

Wonder if they were paying to get their nails done 'ghetto fabulous' though?
