    Deputy leaves his K9 partner in the patrol car while he is training. He knows that the AC doesn't work and the vehicle doesn't have a heat warning but does it anyway. He returned to the patrol car to find the dog dead.
    If you assault a K9 cop there's special charges for you but they dug deep to use the Hillary defense. He didn't intend to commit the crime!! So it's all good and the taxpayers can choke up another $20K for another dog. The statement by the sheriff is truly a whitewashing of the the whole thing.
    I'm going to use the "I didn't intend to speed" defense!! It's good enough for this scumbag and the skank Hillary so federal and state level are setting the precedent. Ohh wait, I ain't one of the King's men.

    The law should be applied equally to everyone. The punishment for killing a working police dog should be applied whether it's some shitbird crackhead who killed it, or it's fucking retard handler.

    That said - having been through the process of LE trying to hook me up in front of my family for a 10 minute walk to and from the ice cream shop (visible) while leaving a dog in the vehicle - in the shade, with water, the sunroof open and all windows down 2-3 inches - 3 squad cars, a shift supervisor, and a 30 minute argument on the street. In the end those chickenshits knew they didn't have a leg to stand on and that our entire discussion could be recalled as evidence....they punted and had some dude from animal control call me and remind me that it gets hot inside of cars.

    Nah....that dude needs some Process to love on him a bit.

    For the record- I like dogs a hell of a lot more than people.

I would argue anyone that put a living creature in such a situation would do it just as easily to a human. Fucktards do this kind of shit all the time with babies and are charged as such, and should be. I wouldn’t leave a baby in a car alone period, much less on a super hot day. I would argue that this officer is just a POS and at minimum should lose his job and he required to pay the city back. But as others have mentioned, if he had been a civvie he would have had a much harsher punishment. There should be equal application of the law. Not this rules for thee but not me shit. This selective application of law shit is precisely how we have gotten to where we are today.

    back when i was doing Schutzhund in the 80s,a "made" high scoring GSD would go 10K imported. top tier dogs are much more common now but with inflation,i suspect that the prices are comparable. many cop dogs here in FL are still imported,mostly from Germany. those dogs have to be totally controllable for liability reasons if nothing else. that quality of breeding and training is in no way cheap. not to mention putting them with potential idiots like the one here who are obviously too stupid to have a dog or a gun..

    BTW the life of either of my cats is worth far more than the life of any of the savage criminals that get posted on here. not to mention the lives of the 1000s that don't get caught or posted. not to mention the lives of the murderous judges and "prosecutors" that immediately release them to repeat their atrocities.

    Doggy hit and Run in Oregon is a Class B traffic violation, 265-$ fine .
    Oregon LE can charge you with animal abuse for leaving Dog in a vehicle on hot day. a class B misdemeanor. Can result in up to six months in jail, a fine of as much as $2,500, or both.
    Dogs, considered Gov. owned working Property . I don't know about 'killing' or death of, I pretty sure in Oregon just for the charges of just 'Assaulting' a police animal. OR. State charges it as Class C Felony, imprisonment of up to five years, and fines up to $125,000 .

    I try not to profile to hard - but there is a fellow here whom likes to mount things and he thinks all people even kids and the old should be regularly beaten by police because everyone in a city is a shit human being and it’s the only thing that works and then we find out he also hates dogs and likes when they cook alive in vehicles.

    I’ve been doing some reading and cruelty to young and old and animals is a very “special” classification .

    I was out to dinner with family last night and my sister in law is a clinical psychologist at Hopkins. I asked her what the underlying conditions and diagnosis for people who place the value of animals over humans is. She laughed and said while there is no actual diagnosis or classification, there are a number of reasons why someone could think that way. Her first assumption would be childhood trauma , possibly molested or abused by adults creating deep seated resentment and lack of trust towards humans. Animals cannot communicate effectively so it's a vehicle for them to vent without risk of judgement. That's as far as we got because I was laughing to hard to continue and then my daughter dropped a coke on my mom's lap....but I'll be sure to get some more in depth knowledge of the subject at the next family shindig.

    First world problems. Imagine a world where life is so good and easy you don't have to worry about survival so you can come up with dumb shit to combat the boredom. Like trannies and CRT.

    this particular asshole appears to have much more concern for murders and rapists than for dogs and cats. to each his own.
    early cruelty to animals is a well documented precursor to much worse behavior later in life.
    interesting that hunters and fisherman seem to have more regard and affection for their animals than a lot of non hunters/fisherman.

    In my town a civilian killed an off leash dog charging and barking at him, single 9mm round, civilian is 75, he was charged with discharging a firearm inside City limits and animal cruelty. Faced 10 years in jail and loss of his 2nd amendment rights. Lynched on Facebook. $120K later he was acquitted. Expert witness was able to prove he had 3.5sec to react, 75 was enough to be in fear of great bodily injury or death by broken hip if knocked to the ground by said dog. Owner of loose dog, nothing. Officer should be charged under the animal cruelty laws and fired for costing the government a costly asset.
