Or is the lower fine? This is in the magwell. Will the crack get worst or can i use the lower long term without cause for concern? Should i buy a new lower?

Absolutely buy a new lower. How else do the suppliers stay in business. I will take that broken one off your hands.
In all seriousness, I wouldn’t worry about that tiny gouge. Doesn’t look deep at all. Not it a critical area. Don’t sweat it. If it really bothers you, JBWeld is locally available.

True hahaha. I only looked because i accidentally over torqued a buffer tube due to torque wrench failure with a polymer magwell vise block so i inspected for damage. This is what i saw. So was wondering if it was compromised or safe to use still

The mag catch? Norgon ambi mag catch. I cant see anything on that side.

I removed my mag catch to check. Just looks like a casting or mim line to me
Yea. Like i said i messed up. Is the lower still usable or should i just buy another one?
Put it all together. Everything functions 100%. Just gonna run it as is aside from the gouges in the magwell. Saw a few other gouges in the magwell but mags insert and seat and drop free and nothings bent or warped on the lower itself.

That magwell is going to show all manner of scrapes and scratches after a few range sessions.
Yes i get that but what i mean is the current gouges wont proceed into cracks in the long run and wont weaken the receiver in that area if the rifle is dropped?
I think you need a borescope just to make sure. Don't forget to check out the barrel real good.
