If one reads your tripe, they would be led to believe that Russia does not have operational IRBM or ICBM capability.

* Russia's Oreshnik strike on Dnipro seemed pretty fucking competent on November 21st!
They used existing nuclear risk-reduction channels to give the US Defense Department a 30 minute warning prior to launching the strike. Then they proceeded with zero intercept and extremely precise placement of all 36 kinetic payloads.

* 12 months before that, they successfully launched a Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile from one of their new nuclear powered Borei-class submarines. Like the Oreshnik, it is MIRV capable with a range exceeding 5,000 miles.

* 2 months ago another one of their nuclear subs launched a Kalibr cruise missile that struck a target at the Kura test site on the Kamchatka Peninsula, over 1,100 kilometers away.

. . . All of these are new systems . . . Russia is doing quite well without your assistance.

My BIL lives in an Eastern European country, and it's amazing how many Ukrainian draft dodgers are there. They are everywhere. Lots of really nice luxury vehicles with Ukrainian plates as well.

I would like to see the media do some basic math - how much combat power does NATO (minus US) have that can deploy to the Ukrainian border? How long can NATO (minus US) sustain combat power on the Ukranian border? I am a broken record on this topic but I served in Iraq and watched the British, Italians, and others struggle to cover their sector and watched the constant turnover of European soldiers (like every 30 days). I would see US 3rd Army bragging that XYZ nation was supporting the Iraq war if they had one(1) LNO in theater.

The real question becomes: what power/influence does the EU have over the US to get it to commit to this? None of us have that answer, we simply aren't in that circle. The other option they have is to extend the war until another president in four years that they hope is more sympathetic to the cause. That's if their economies don't crash before then.

I think the real danger lies in an EU nation committing a very brash and provocative act to force a wider conflict, out of desperation. Forcefully suck us in, because NATO and all of that.

IMO, NATO has become a death cult with a desire to self manifest a war. The smart thing would be to get out of it yesterday.

Russia is the "big man on campus?"

Russia is weak, and they've been getting their absolute shit kicked in by one of the most disorganized barely functioning countries in Europe for years now.

We know why Rooskie Animals are getting the business these days- they refuse to do right based on a burning resentment of everyone else's meager success after the fall of the Soviet Union, which to them alone was nothing more than a name change. It is the "deeply unfair" Western-dominated international order that is always holding them back from glorious greatness.

They also have a TON of land, much of it polluted by toxic waste and radioactivity, and would do better to divide up into a dozen or more new, more manageable entities and focus on developing those and providing services for their people- who have been suffering every day, war or no war, for decades.



Russia has no say in what happens to it, or what people do to it. They are a weak nation.

Their best move at this time is to withdraw to their borders and sign any-and-every piece of paper that can make it stop. Putin is well aware of this, but needs to puff himself a bit in front of his people first. Putin is a weak leader, and dull and dim on top of that.
