Yes a fixed barrel spacer is required with the obsidian 9. Your can may be different. Should be able to search to confirm or email company.Spacer? It screws right on. Same thread size and all.
Yes but you need to 'disable' the piston spring. Can the suppressor I use on my Glock, with a piston due to the tilt barrel, be used without problems on my 9mm AR carbine.
You have to take the can apart and take out the spring that helps it reciprocate. In it's place you have a solid metal tube "spacer" about the same dimensions as the spring that you drop in where the spring goes.Spacer? It screws right on. Same thread size and all.
If you don't take out the ability to reciprocate you will run about a 90ish percent chance of getting baffle strikes. Thanks! That is what I do when I switch platforms. I remove the piston assembly for the AR. I was hoping I could skip that process but I guess not. I just didn’t want to harm either one.
Thanks for the reminder!Be sure you clean the threads and add anti-seize when you swap end caps back and forth.
