Cooked super tonight.........left over meatloaf, mashed tatters, and gravy, and some green beans...
Browned the meatloaf in a cast iron skillet, the meal was great.....
I always wash out my cast iron with hot water, then put it on a burner, and turn the temp up and season it a couple or three or four times.......I did this using grape seed oil, and got it smoking, then wiped it out with a wad of paper towels, it browned the towels, it was hot, threw the towels in the trash can.........
I went into the living room, and started surfing the Hide...........I kept smelling something that smelled like the smoking oil when I was wiping out the skillet, I went to the kitchen, and found a haze of smoke..........the paper towels I had used to wipe out the skillet were smoldering in the trash can.........took the trashcan out thru the garage and turned on the garden hose.............
Got some fans running, everything is good................
