National Health Care Fraud Takedown 324 Defendants

I’ve been talking about Medicare and Medicaid fraud for the better part of the last 4 decades once I learned about it.

Easy big money for criminals who are good at working with bureaucracies, which brings no surprise that many of the perpetrators are Russians.

They’ve been stealing entitlements moneys by the billions via corporate structures and buying up medical supply companies, making false claims, fomenting the opioid epidemic, while actual people who needed the services get delayed or denied.

This is one of the only good moves I’ve seen from the DOJ in a long time, as I’m one of their biggest critics.

Looks like new leadership finally had some consequences.

I have Mecicare, I'm thankful for it, and try to use it with respect. I think they take $170 or so a month out of SS. Thats cheap insurance. I chose not to go with one of the plans as I like to pick who I want. I've been paying the 20% but may get a private policy to cover that. Healthcare aint cheap. Been to the dentist lately?

The health care complex is about 20% of the entire US GDP. The sheer amount of fraud and waste is biblical.

The issues with Social Security could be fixed in an afternoon, fixing health care is going to take a civil war.

Forget about the "waste and fraud"
The big issue is the huge amount of money the "insurance companies" and other "administration" types take for themselves while denying urgently needed care to others. "Oh we can't afford to let you have xxx treatment" while pulling down multi million dollar salaries off the backs of people forced to pay for "insurance".

You mean HMO's don't mean Healthy Members Only?...
There is so much fraud, take a look at the company PACS that acquired my company, long term care. Lost 2 Billion in 1 day because of Medicare abuse during the pandemic. A total joke, while all my friends made millions after I left.

Just got one kid out of braces, the next one just got braces, and the youngest needs dental surgery.

Been to the dentist and the auto repair shop, thank you.

Meanwhile, illegals get their kids to go to the dentist monthly in our area for regular check-ups and everything the good dentists can think of to keep them coming back, all on our dime.

But old money Mafia pilfering Medicare and Medicaid, along with foreign entities to the tune of billions absolutely needs to be brought to a screeching halt and every guilty party prosecuted, their assets seized, and the taxpayers refunded. Yeah, that will happen.....:ROFLMAO:

However, this frees up billions to go to the actual intended beneficiaries and hospitals, and to get a more realistic picture of what demand is actually like without the fraudsters.

I think they’ve just barely scratched the surface on Medicare fraud though.

It’s a program that is so ripe for abuse, especially by organized crime in the US and abroad.

You’re not the first one to mention this in the past couple of days.

The insurance companies could still continue to make a killing in the market, but they deny care for many helpful treatments.

We need Medical insurance co-ops, user-owned and funded, opt out of any other of these extortionist schemes.

I’m with you 100% thinking that they just scratched the surface of the rot and theft.
But glad to see any progress; now if we can get the invaders and our domestic parasites off the free gimmies maybe everyone can pay less by simply just paying for their own .

I have Medicare and VA , I use the VA when ever possible, no complaints other than not being able to make appointments that don't take weeks to get to see a doctor , but for emergencies I just go to the ER at my local hospital and show my VA card , I made the mistake of using my Medicare card once at the ER when my knee pain was unbearable, they charged me for all kinds of stuff that wasn't used ,when I got the bill it wasn't itemized, I called and asked for a itemized statement, when it came the print was so small I had to use a magnifying glass to read it , most of it was in code , but so.e I could make out and they charged for shit that wasn't even used , all the doctor did was try to drain the fluid off my knee and take some x-rays, but the statement was 30 items long , ended up just paying my 20 % but have never used Medicare since ,but I won't drop the plan B , it's still cheap insurance at 184.00 a month.
