20 moa base question

Best to just buy a new base? I did just order a MDT 20 MOA base
I don’t know a lot about tikka but take it off and see if they just didn’t install correctly first
Don’t you just have to back the screw out? I feel like I remember reading the front one is there for mirage shield attachments etc. Certainly don’t use it to cam a quarter pipe into your scope base.

I picked up a rail base from MDT. I feel like there are too many "No good" to not just try a new base.
There are too many that don’t “know good” before making comments.
I'm genuinely confused haha...this being good or bad is hotly contested...I guess replacing it is a for sure fix regardless of it being good or bad...
When it’s in properly, it looks like a screw that’s backing out and the rail should be flat. I guess if one fooled with it enough, the rail could be bent.
i believe that screw is there for a heat mirage or something. i had one on mine.

I'm going to replace it, I have an MDT on the way. The front screw when reinstalled doesn't sit flush which I gather is correct. However, there's still a noticeable gap between the action and the base towards the front, which I don't believe is intentional
