Never had an animal lab in med school, only human cadavers (but goat/sheep lab for military SF is well known). I worked in one lab that went through rats - I gave my notice when I saw data manipulation and went to a better institution. There we gave sheep heart attacks to develop ways to treat human MIs, the lab next to us used dogs for similar. These were not wasted studies; I was proud to be on that project. There are BS studies like Fauci's, but unless you can use humans, which Fauci had no issues with either, there is a role for animals in labs.

You cannot be serious with that take. The storm was a 100 year event and was unpredictable. I live in TX and watched the radar over that time and the storm just sat over that area for four days.
