Never was Carson, he was the Tonight Show. This used to be Late Night with David Letterman. He's about as funny as Diarreha when youre at the back of WalMart. The show really died when Carson left.
My bad, still didnt like Colbert.Never was Carson, he was the Tonight Show. This used to be Late Night with David Letterman.
Carson was first........
Wut a asssholl……..
Carson was the "Tonight Show" on NBC @ 11:30p ET.. Actually, Steve Allen was the first host in 1954-1957, followed by Jack Parr 1957-1962 when Carson took over. During Carson's era, NBC created a show called "Late Night with David Letterman" that aired directly after Carson. This, in response to Letterman guest hosting the Carson show a bunch of times.
Letterman was under the impression (as was some of Carson's team - Peter LaSally, etc.) that Letterman would, eventually, succeed Carson @ 11:30p. But the NBC "executives" had other ideas. Hence, Jay Leno was picked to succeed Carson and Letterman was left at the 12:30a (ND) ET slot.
Eventually, Letterman quit NBC and started a new "competitor" show @ 11:30p ET on CBS called "The Late Show," taped at the "Ed Sullivan Theater" in NYC. "The Late Show" name was CBS' intellectual property (avoiding that issue with NBC), as it was first used by them to host old movie nights. You may recall they used the old "Syncopated Clock" music written by Leroy Anderson and covered by Percy Faith.
There was even a "Late Late Show" for the movies that followed the Late Show, and an "Early Show" movie segment. for the 4:30p movies Thus, Letterman had his own niche until he elected to retire.
I have no idea what will succeed the "Late Show," now. Will they go back to movies? Or what's their plan for the future? I tend to think that NBC will continue the "Tonight Show" program, so we'll see what happens.
Which proves why he was still on the air. Purely narrative shaping. Now the board has determined his best before date is in the past and they can get the same thing done for a lot less.I just read where his show costs $100 Million/year to produce and was/is losing $40 Million/year.

Actually it was Jack Parr, but Carson was the man.
Yeah, he’s going away but… in May of 26. Several more months of stupidity to come from this ass clown.
I don't watch any of them, haven't for a few decades, have I actually missed anything?
I wonder if he'll grow much more "critical" of Trump now that he knows his days are numbered... (i.e. things you can say now, that you wouldn't say if you were attempting to get your show renewed again). I mean, the only risk he has now is being "cancelled for cause..." (ie. saying something so ridiculously wrong that Trump could sue immediately, or cause the network all kinds of financial and/or regulatory pain).
Says the guy who became the biggest FAG of all.
Sean Penn is one of the ringleaders of socialist crap…
Sirhr
(PS… not you JR!)
Funny you mention that. Since Penn did play "Harvey Milk" in the same entitled movie.

Not that he (Milk himself) deserved what happened to him, but...
Considering not using this meme again and return it to buymemes.com for a refund?Just goes to show how deranged that Sean Penn is.... that he regards the guy as a great American... But tells you everything you need to know about what a shit-weasel Penn is!

People 'Buy' Memes? WHAT?
You probably have garbage bag liners in your bathroom trashcan, too.... not just old grocery bags.
Didn't know I was talking to a billionaire!

It’s the same place @Lawless uses I thought everyone knew that?
One of the more illuminating Colbert moments:
Colbert trying to sabotage Jon Stewart's bit about COVID originating from a lab is another highly conspicuous moment.
It’s the same place @Lawless uses I thought everyone knew that?
No wonder his memes seem so 'corporate' and canned... Lawless Memology... Must be the Sams Club of memes! Probably all created in Benton Arkansas. ;-)
