I Spy New Baby Razor G3 4-24

In the Vortex lineup, got it.

In Earth, not so much…

No, everywhere I feel. The only scope on earth from what I can remember that has these features is a small group of Marches. Every other scope of this size, providing it's really a 24 power and not ten like what is printed on that mag ring in that pic is either maxed out at 12 or 16, or is much larger than this, or is sfp, or has the parallax on the obj. I've been wanting a 40/42/44mm obj in something more than 16 power for a lonnnnnng time. I need the mag, but despise hubble telescopes on my rifles. If this is a full featured scope like locking turrets, ffp, illuminated mil tree reticle, and clear optics, I feel it's going to be a winner. I dont think the Marches sell because of their lack of advertising in our circles, and most dont like their turrets. So we'll see.

Probably a closer sibling to the element nexus Gen 2 4-25x or zeiss 4-25, depending on the tube size. But this will have better glass.

Speaking of which, Does anyone know if it’s 30mm or 34mm tube?
GOD I hope it's a 30. Not everyone needs a scope that can shoot 1200 yards every day. Scopes are just so big and bulky these days. They're all like 1977 Cadillacs now.

Delta Stryker 3.5-21x44

I have had quite a few Strykers, including the 3.5-21x44. There is nothing questionable about their quality. It is a very nicely made LOW product.

I guess what I meant by questionable was, that theyre not all over the place like the other more popular brands, so their reputation (at least here) isnt 100% built up yet. You dont run across a lot of Delta scopes out in the wild yet. But if you say they're good to go, then I'm happy there's yet one more option that we can buy and not worry about. Awesome.

Delta is based in Poland, so they are a lot more prominent in Europe than here. They have been around for a while though, so they are not going anywhere. It is a family owned business and I know the owner. They are good people and they are growing at a good pace.

New reticle? or same old ffp reticle that don’t work on 4x?

It’s a FFP scope so as any it will not be the best at the lowest power as on any of them but if you buy a 4-24x scope to use it mostly at 4x then you bought the wrong scope. It can be used as a standard crosshairs at 4x.

Any other paparazzi pictures from ongoing NRLH matches?
Here's one.

I dont think marches sell because the 3-24x52 i had functionally sucked and i'm sure the one with a 42mm objective sucked worse. And $3k for something that functionally sucks doesn't drive sales. Turrets were great.

24x with a 44mm objective sounds like a scope that is not likely to be impressive at 24x to me. Might as well have one without the zoom range compromises that performs better at lower magnification.

Maybe we should wait to see it before saying it sucks? Lol
Do you know where you are?

Exhibit A: The labradar guys that still try to magnify Garmin flaws or elevate cheaper competitors, prob due to chronic pain due to their unit’s value being evaporated overnight.

This is like the guys badmouthing the AGM1-10 without seeing one. Their vast knowledge base suggest it can’t work well because it has not been done before. Well the AGM1-10 is a fantastic scope and the one to beat from here on out. I have used one a bunch

The new baby Razor I hope follows suit. Have not used one yet but guys who have tell me once it hits it will be the new one to get

Understand it’s not to compete on platforms that use the Gen 3 6-36. It’s for those of use that love the DMR midrange type rifles with lighter total weight

Do we know this is a 44mm obj for sure? I've been playing with a delta optical 3.5-21x44, it doesn't suck. Kinda curious if the took that LOW design and just made the base mag to 4 with the 6x erector. Hopefully it has the Gen3 6-36 glass/coatings. My delta isn't as crisp as my atacr 420, but we're talking a $1400 VS $2400 purchase price difference.

44mm objective and it still weights 31oz. Kinda chubby for what it is.
Compared to the full market sure, however being part of the Razor line this thing is a feather weight. I think it slots in nicely between the LHT and the big boy high mag Razors.

Assuming durability and image quality are better than LHT and truly on the level of their Razor gen 3 line I think it has a spot.

Yep. I have 3 lightweight rifles with LHT 4.5-22s on them right now and while they work well, I'd like a wider FOV and better glass without adding too much more weight. More positive turrets would be nice too. The LHT definitely gives up a few things for a very light weight.

I have 2 spare S&B 3-20 full lengths that are also right about 31.5oz just like this upcoming razor and have excellent glass and FOV, but I really want to test one of these new Razors next to the LHT and S&B 3-20.

Chubby? lol hardly. Look at similar scopes and they are close to the same. It’s a lighter Razor Gen III to fill a spot needed in the line. 31 ounces is not heavy at all for what it is. It’s not a light weight hunting scope. Don’t get hung up on the objective.

It’s still chubby at 31oz. Lighter than the 10# razor brothers sure. But still overweight imo. Woulda been nice to see it come in around 25-27oz.

Come on! You seriously worried about a few ounces in this style scope? It’s not a light weight hunting scope. The Bushnell DMR 3.5-21 is 35.5 ounces but never hear anyone complaining about it. At that 31 ounce mark it’s in a great weight range for a bolt gun or AR. Hardly chubby.

31oz is nothing since it’s supposed to be tough as can be. Myself I am bitting my nails waiting for these to hit the market. They will fill a need and hopefully bring Gen 3 Vortex quality to the DMR weapons

Haters are gonna hate no matter what. If it were too light people would question the toughness or durability.

100% Mike! This think will be perfect on my 6ARC. I have a Vortex extended mount sitting on my bench taunting me everyday I look at it. lol

So true. I doubt toughness or durability will be an issue with this scope given its line and predecessors.

Yes I’d like a sub 28oz FFP crossover scope with a usable reticle on both high and low mag. And that is doable but no one does it anymore….
And that’s why I don’t own one of those. I also don’t build 15 pound rifles and call those light either. To each their own.
