Weird. I recall a long while back one of the founders of the modern KKK (Not David Duke..... somebody named Butler or something), saying that he would be happy to split up the country just like this (I think the Mississippi was his border) and his kind would live west of it and all the others (especially the "Amish") could live East of it. And the two would "Co-exist." Hmmmmmmmm...... Not so sure about that.
Why do that. They hate this country so much go back where you came from.

The commies can move out too.

My old boss has a '19 and loves it. I'm a hater of anything under 8 cylinders but let my wife talk me into a '19 Explorer Sport. I wanted a single cab F150 with a Coyote but lost that battle due to the practicality aspect. The last thing I want to do is get as far into it as you did. Extended warranty for the win! :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I had the extended warranty, but cam phasers (old design) went out again at 115K miles. Engine was running strong other than those damn cam phasers, but once I had the front end off, I decided to just rebuild the entire motor since I was already that far in.

Ford already fucked me on my transmission issues, which also shit the bed just out of warranty…bandaid fixes to get me to the end of my warranty vs. just replacing the known bad C/D/F hub. But I love this truck, and since they no longer make a supercab I decided to just go all out on it instead of trading it in on a Raptor R that’s only available as a supercrew 4-door truck.

I want a supercab/short bed truck more than I want another V8.

So $25K+ in motor goodness later, I’ll have a truck with the fuel and air potential to push 1K HP, but I’m gonna detune it to ~600 or so…wherever I land after getting the torque curve as fat and as wide as I can. I also sank another $10K into the trans and other driveline components to make it strong enough to handle the power increase. I have a build thread over on FRF where I go by 91Eunos, named after my old BRG Miata autocross car.

May still use HPT for the tune, but Goose Tune out just North of El Paso is doing some amazing things with motor and trans setups similar to mine, and the Cobb interface is so much simpler…and he’s got a great reputation for customer service too. Whichever way I go on the tuner front, I’m very much looking forward to the final results….and finally freeing up my home shop for other projects! LoL

If I was starting from zero today, I’d get a supercab 4x4 with the Coyote V8 (6.5’ bed though), add the factory-approved supercharger, and then send it out to HM Offroad out in SoCal for one of their UAV conversions, plus add some deberti bodywork, etc. I’d be into it a bit more than a well equipped Raptor R, but would have something a lot more capable, a fair bit lighter…and with the perfect body/bed configuration for me, only with a V8 instead of my current TTV6.

Pic thread rules: here’s another FRF member who has the first (I think) UAV suspension set from HM with my preferred body configuration:

I'm sure I've posted this before, but my wife parked my '14 with 6.2 one day.

I browsed both the threads you posted, far out of my range. Wild and cool builds no doubt. When my old boss got the raptor it had the same cracked valve cover mentioned in your thread. How is the wife liking the Grand Cherokee after being in an X5? I worked as a technician at a BMW dealer up until last year and developed an aversion to new vehicle tech so I can sympathize with not wanting a new truck. I've been building a 66 Chevy short bed standard cab big window for quite a while now. That has a 2006 LS2/T56 combo in it. No cam phasers, no AFM and no other nonsense. My daily is a Colorado with a 5.3. They didn't make too many and mine was the only year where there was no VVT or AFM. For 16 years old it almost looks like a new truck. Both of those have cast aluminum oil pans, valve covers and blocks. The plastic oil pan on my '19 shelby GT350 really irritates me when I hoist it for an oil change. New cars have far too much plastic.

The guy in blue definitely rattled off some racial slurs, the guy with long hair left his MOH or several purple hearts as a calling card. Thank him for his service 🫡🇺🇸

IYKYK
The funny thing is the guy with the long hair is Bendan Herrera. Never served but all his buddies are former military and joke about making medals for him all the time. I think the guy in blue is Donut Operator.

We like the Jeep OK…. I want to love it as much as we did her ‘15 Grand Cherokee Summit with the turbodiesel, but honestly, we really miss that X5 a lot. The controls/interface were just so nice to the touch, and very intuitive. I just can’t get comfortable in that Jeep…the seats are great, but the seat pedestals are way too tall, and I’m constantly bashing my head getting in and out, despite the seat lowered as far as it will go.

Drives me nuts.

I almost had her convinced her last week to give this one to our son and daughter-in-law who are about to have their first kid, and we’d get her a new X5, maybe a Merc E class, or (my preference) a new M5 wagon. She’s balking at the price though...she is an accountant after all! LoL. We’ll see, but don’t think this one is gonna last very long in the stable.
