ELEY BC

G1 drag profile is pretty bad for most of 22LR that shoot in transsonic. I wouldn't be surprised if G7, at least up to 100 yards, is better choice for ELEY. RA4 should be the most adequate for 22LR but it depends from case to case. I don't know why some respectable companies in rimfire business still publish G1 BCs for their ammo and make monkeys of themselfs

G1 for mine is typically around 0.150 (0.140 on one rifle, 0.163 on another). I have gone back to using Strelok mostly. If using my kestrel, I have been known to add DSF at 300 to true observations. But 0.150 is good to 200 for me. But I have had some unexplained variations using DSF before that have caused me to get bad solutions. So Strelok gets the call on the rimfire.

To note - I ALWAYS trust my chrono. When confirming before a match, I will very slightly adjust BC to account for conditions. Any large swings in BC are not done before a match. I have shot enough Team/Match, and screwed myself by making large changes, to know better.

I wish I could test out strelok. A lot of guys I talk to like it better and have better results with it.
