Lithgow LA101 with a few mods.

My smith finished this recently and I've just started doing some initial ammo testing.
Ammo is very scarce in my area so I just buy anything decent I come across and hope it shoots OK in one or more of my rim fire barrels.
The attached targets have been shot with a variety of SK/Lapua/Eley ammo with head space set at 045 & 043. Ignition is a little inconsistent with the thinner Eley cases and I've had a few misfires but can adjust the HS to suit in a few minutes if I can only source Eley.
Overall function is faultless with all ammos and several magazines and I think this will be a nice 22 - Only have a few hundred rounds through it at this point.

That stock reminds me of a nearly identical one that Joel made for me a dozen or so years ago...only mine was on Royal Jacaranda.

The stock was supplied by Hatcher's Rifle Stocks in Victoria, Australia as a semi finished product in AAA walnut.

Rolf has built me several nice rimfires including this Cooper which Flatland may remember from RFC.

I'd hate to think that I'd seen this Cooper and forgotten it, but it's simply stunning, regardless whether I've seen it before or not.

HAH - Most forum members here have probably never heard of True Flite barrels as fitted to that Cooper (and other rifles that I own).

I stumbled across a 4GR Benchmark with the Vudoo BR contour locally a while back. The dimensions suited the Lithgow build and it finished up at 24" straight X .910".

I'm guessing it's not too hard to in stocks inleted for Lithgows over there?

I can't remember of you have any CZ 457s, would the Lithgow offer any advantages over the CZ?
The lack of stock/chassis options makes its hard to look past the boring CZ, Tikka R700 options.

They're scarce here too - Basically have to go the custom route if (like me) you prefer nice timber. SCA are doing a chassis for the LA101:

I don't own a 457 but there are so many after market options available for that rifle, Lithgow in factory form wouldn't be in the race.
