Havent finished it yet but it is interesting. Most of it logical stuff, but you wouldnt think of.
That's one possibility. The other is he's a foreign agent (or had a foreign handler) and the source/method they used to collect on him is what they're trying to protect. My bet is on the latter.
I had a person install a tree stand on my property, they used screw in steps to get up the tree. I spotted it and went up the steps to the stand, the stand was chained and locked. I then proceeded to remove the steps and set them at the bottom of the tree. I was trying to be a nice guy and say hey I found your stand, you know you are on private property move along.
The next time I went out about a week later the steps were screwed back in. So I unscrewed them and took them to the house.
