I have grandsons coming up that will be in the 4H shooting sports program
I have this available to me at what I think is a pretty good price and thought it might be worth it to lay in for them (still not old enough for BB gun yet)

Any experience or opinions of this rifle?

Thank you guys, opinions/first hand knowledge is what I was looking for.

One of my distributors has them on a sale for $325 but also a shit ton of em in stock which maybe doesn't raise a red flag but sure pulls it out.

@buffalowinter , my boye didn't go any farther than BB gun and my oldest grandson is about 6 years away from the .22 program.

I have a call in to the county extension agent for more information .

Just thought I'd jump on a deal if it was there.

A buddy bought one thinking it was similiar to his old Izhmash which I had acquired from him. The action operation even though similiar is not even close to the smoothness of the Izhmash.

First thing that came to mind when getting hands on was it reminded me of the same feel you get flipping up the big lever on the rear latch of a semi- trailer door, jerking it rearward to unlatch then trying to pull the door open. Closing the action is the same in reverse. CLUNKY

May be a bit exaggerated but absolutely no smoothness in any part associated with cycling the action. On top of that it didn't show any attempt at acceptable accuracy with any level of rimfire ammo.

This is from someone that believes nearly any decent gun can shoot with good ammo. Just didn't happen with this gun, the Steven's or the Christensen Arms.
