    Hopefully I word this correctly but I'm looking for a chest rig that actually mounts to the side of the body versus on the chest. I'm interested in something that I'm not directly laying while in the prone position but more of on the side, left or right. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I would suggest a padded war belt with magazine/general pouches on the left and right side with bigger butt pack in the back or aid kit etc. Throw some suspenders if load is heavier.

    Think recce harness.

    Moves gear and load from chest to your sides without compromising access when in prone.

    try a split chest rig.

    unclip, open up and move to the sides when going prone, clip back together when not prone and carry on.

    highly recommend a spiritus 34 A

    maybe more gear than you are looking for, if so, what about some kind of "currier" bag or "satchel" type bag?

    European carry all.....?

    I use the Spiritus System for the same reason. Side Molle panels with two clips over the chest. I can lay prone with them buckled or I unbuckle at times. It’s much easier then a bino chest that was.

    Some BFG options that are nice but maybe not ideal. Also, not sure if they make the SplitMINUS anymore...
