PRS Talk PRS Bipods

A Thunderbeast bipod is what I bought when I was first starting out. I loved the thing and the only qualm I had is that there were times when I wanted a little more height.

Ended up selling that and getting a double pull when I found out they are prototyping a version that is a little taller. As soon as that comes out I’ll be purchasing the taller version and I have little doubt it will be my main bipod again.
Same, same. I think around 800yrds and beyond, more height would be appreciated...and over ~1,200, I found myself having to kick the rear bag out, as I couldn't get the muzzle high enough and had to look into the leg extensions.

Love it for 800 and in, but I think I would have gone in another direction had I of known...add 4-5 more detents/'clicks' of the stock legs and it would be money.

I don’t get that at all. Why do you have to angle your rifle towards the sky and jack it up to shoot past 800 yards? Is your range set up oddly?

"Short side" has a negative 12 degrees inclination, while the "long side" is up the mountain with a different DoF?

In 'Taylor bag' terms ( :ROFLMAO: ), I go from fully erect to literally laying it down, so I barely have an 1-2" of bag under the buttstock to get needed height. Couple that with a foofoo Dasher and that's where I am at...only way to get the height I need...damn near feel like I am low-crawling with my face in the dirt.

Ok so it’s a range issue. Just wanting to clarify. I get having to have height when shooting angles but just saying past 800 etc doesn’t clarify that and why I asked.

Looking at the specs for comparison, MDT single-pull claims 5-15.5" of height, whereas the TBAC is a stubby 6.5-9" in height...extensions get you to 12", more than adequate (that's what she said).

Yeah I get that. You were just saying target distances. Wanted clarification it was due to the range.
