This. In WA state the kids friends families seem to be moving right. Not sure if its enough short term. But there has been a noticeable shift.
Yup. We are fleeing Washington for South Carolina in the spring.
Started the exfil plans... bought some property in north central Idaho this summer. Planning to get some of the utilities and dirt work done over the next couple years, and be ready to build when the wife retires.
Not that long ago, after my move from Idaho to Okrahoma, there was a guy on here that had made the cross country move from some east coast shithole to Spokanistan. He was literally wallowing in his new found freedom in the new shithole. When I said he had traveled approximately 40 miles too far west, well, I just didn't know what the fuck I was talking about. I wonder how he feels now that he's about 2-3 years in...
Then there was the dipshit near CDA with about a half acre on a steep hill subdivision bragging to me how his shit was so much better than my Oklahoma 115 acres with mineral rights I get royalty from every month.
Yeah...fuck those guys. Even if they did "try" to move to a less liberal place, they made both places more liberal. Probably lowered the average IQ in both places, too.
Ketchum/Sun Valley has always been a liberal shithole. Same-Same for Salmon, Pocatello, Boise area, McCall-Donnely, Moscow...but the Clearwater region was sort of insulated. Then the infiltrators started coming in from the Missoula area. Sure, they had Montana tags but those tags were new replacements for Kalifornia, Kalorado, New Joisey. Then during COVID, the influx was unsustainable and no longer concealed. However, I sold a house I paid $225,000 just 7 years earlier for $450,000. Fuckin' A, I'll sell it, you dumbass. It's has lost value for that dipshit.
Bought this old family land in the state that every county has voted all red for 2 POTUS cycles, work from home, shoot whatever I want whenever I want, no need for tags or a fishing license. Plenty of grass for livestock, ponds, creeks, trees. We are good.
Don't come for a visit.
