Rebarreled a Savage 110 action with the subject barrel, interested if anyone has a recommendation for a factory load, through experience, with this particular barrel. Thanks.

500 yards. Shooting at 3 and 4” gongs. No one has shot your barrel so they can’t tell you what works for it. You can have two of the exact same barrel and they may like different things. It’s a 7 twist .223 so will shoot the heavy bullets for long range so just buy some and try it. For shorter range anything will work as far as weight.
How far you plan to shoot it?

Yeah pick up some match loads in the 68-77grn range and test them out. Should work well for you for shooting small gongs.
Oh….must have stolen a girlfriend? LOLThis guy actually has 4 brain cells that hardly work. Do the opposite of what he says

“ Can you tie your shoes? “ And that would mean what ?Break in the barrel first then you will need to find your best loads that shoots as my Savage 10PC shoots a lot of variety well. But then again how proficient are you? Can you tie your shoes?![]()
Yes, it is.ADI 69 SMK is a good ammo for the money around 15 bucks.

That’s a great idea, thanks.Try some of that Hornady Black 75 BTHP. The Black line is geared towards ARs but it shoots good in bolt guns too. It’s also down in that price range if you wanted to keep it at under $20 a box.
If over that price is ok and you want some speed then try the Superformance 75s.
Thanks, I’m sure I’ll give those a try. I really can’t remember the last time I shot a 55 gr bullet. The federal gold medal match would be a worthy test as well. Just something that’s not the cheapest 55gr range fodder, probably like you found with your factory barrel… only now you can go heavier in your bullet selection.

Thanks man. I’ve shot that PMC load before and not bad. The price is certainly right!TS USA is running their sale yesterday and today and they have PMC X-Tac match 77gr on sale. It’s cheap but might be worth a try. 88 cents a round
