These are incredible. I’m actually working on one myself, I’ll post some pics when I get it done.

You might give Whidden Gunworks a call @AMG04 they used to make an aluminum V-block that could be installed in a stock, which is what I’m using. That might make your life a little easier for inletting for the actions.

Damn, everything you've done is absolutely gorgeous!

Makes me wish I had a rifle worthy of one of your stocks. The only one is a Winchester model 75 from 1941, but that stock is still in almost pristine condition.

Very nice work!

Guys this is the second stock I have had done and there are no words how this one looks and even feels. Its unreal the craftsmanship has goes into this. Not sure i even want to use this one for NRL Hunter competitions and mostly hunting. You better get on the waitlist!

Playin' around with more Transtint colors, Bright Red in this case.

Dark Cherry - base coat of Bright Red, Med Brown and Black. Followed by a coat of Copper (1:1 Bright Red/Brown)

Id probably layer this with more Brown for a muted "classic" look, or hit it with straight Red as I sanded up through the grits to get more pop.

1st Coat: flat and boring

A few action shots of a couple stocks from this weekend's NRL Hunter match. I can't begin to express how much fun it was!

Truly works of art. You got some serious talent. Got a crazy question for types of wood. Could Osage orange/boise de arc be used. Know it is a really hard wood and used for self bows/traditional archery.

Thank you.

Grandpa calls that hedge... and it would be hard on the router bits, but would make a virtually indestructible stock when finished. Likely on the heavier side, which is nice for soaking up some recoil.

A few more with the final top coat of oil applied.

I like the profile of the stock on top. Have any more pictures of that one ?

I'm wondering how that would look in black walnut. My dad has a chunk that he and my grandfather cut years ago.

They were cutting firewood and a lot of what they were cutting was birch, cherry, and black walnut. They saved out a bunch and had it sawn for lumber. Sadly, a lot of it checked real bad over the years. Some of it is still in good shape though.

Thats very similar to the MCS-T, or a traditional M40 design. I dont have that one in hand anymore to get pictures of, but its the same template as this one...

One of the best do-it-all designs. Points well off hand, and has good bag manners...
