Great album from 17 years ago, "Santogold" she renamed it to match her name "Santi" years later. She's has a lot of different styles and the album was difficult to put a genre label on, is mostly electronic rock to me. She has a very Ronnie Spector sound at times.
I’m all over the place today. Classic rock, Western Swing to some old school funk.

I have to say I was late to appreciate Prince. I judged him by the stuff they played on the radio. That was ho hum. Deeper dives revealed holy shit!

If you have kids that are difficult to wake up in the morning, don't yell at them. Forget throwing a bucket of ice water on them. If you thought about playing a recording of Reveille, ditch that idea.
Just play this song outside their door in the morning. They will wake up, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to take on the day with gusto! They will love you for it.

Saw them twice, way better than most bands I ever saw. A local radio station sponsored a “ shoe box night” , meaning anything not metallic in the box , could enter the Sports Arena in San Diego without being searched. This is in 74. There was enough weed smoke that it looked like a forest fire. Had a 2nd hand buzz for awhile
