A "Publi walk" now?

I have no idea what your fixation on queers wearing crocks is but must have been familiar territory for you.

I'll bet your troops hated your miserable winey ass, little man syndrom much?

And now your no longer in charge or controll of anything and your bitter about it.

What a looser.

Go ahead and hide your guns looser. I wear my gun outside my coat for all the world to see.

And for LGM, I doubt he didn't make Senior or Chief due to stupidity. Most likely, he saw the political bullshit writing on the wall and elected to get the fuck out.
One person cannot change institutional behavior (See politics for any reference) so, retirement is the only option.

That’s why I punched out at 20.

The Newsmax crawl is now reporting this morning that the Publix chain of grocery stores will permit OC in their Florida stores. This, apparently, in response to the change in court actions that (apparently) now allow OC in Florida. I knew I'd heard something about that before, but was still skeptical, not wanting to be the "test case."

So, a "Publi" walk now, in addition to a "Wally Walk?" This should prove interesting. Almost makes me want to shop more at Publix to see how many will "participate."

Almost.... Still too pricey. 🤪

Late to the party. I am very happy about this. 2Aers should be ecstatic.

The whole fudd nonsense about open carry needs to end.

The idea of the public sees a firearm it’s bad for our cause is insane. Because this means the only time people see firearms is run & gun cosplay tacticool videos on YouTube, crime or Hollywood movies. Or when someone is posing with a dead animal. When I was a kid, there was a rifle in the back of every pickup window on school grounds. No one went into shock.

The idea that only cops should be allowed to open carry perpetuates the unfortunate reality that we live in a two-tiered system when it comes to the second amendment in this country.

Law-enforcement officers both in public and in private lives have expanded second amendment rights. Are they more capable and safer with firearms? This is demonstrably and objectively false and an utterly ludicrous assertion.

This does not mean walking into Starbucks with an AK at low ready. A sidearm carried in a non threatening manner in a retention holster is as American as apple pie.

I don't think it is so much of a fudd problem. It's more a perception problem.

Some people perceive their opinion is worth more due to their former (most likely) employment.

They are used to being in charge and can't face reality of that not being the case anymore. They are used to what was a special empowerment that's no longer withheld from law abiding citizens anymore in some good states.

To tell an adult not to OC in a state where it's legal is pathetic.

If it upsets libtards, Democrats and some no longer in charge folks,l I'm gtg.

Floridians on the left, cops on the right.

OC can certainly be retarded but any normalization of carrying by non-retards is good.

Publix pizza dough is fantastic.

Also Crocs are great, no more worry of stepping on legos or stubbing a toe on a ride on in the dark and they don't get stanky like other slippers. They're just closed toe sandals. Mine are a knockoff brand called nuusol though, made in USA they claim

You haven't lived in a Northeast State like NY or the PRNJ that much, have you? :D

That's precisely how LE sees it up there. At least LE in most of the big cities. And the public is conditioned to accept that, sheeples that they are. It's funny. I was eating in a restaurant and saw this gentleman open carrying in the restaurant in plain clothes. Nobody panicked. It took me a second or two (without being obvious), but I finally spotted his shield next to his EDC, Turned out he was the CLEO in that town.

Our problem in FL being, too many transplants from those states, down here that still think like that. And businesses like "The Rodent" and the "FRF" wanting to cater to them. They perceive that generalized OC among the population will be a turn off for tourists.

Law-enforcement officers both in public and in private lives have expanded second amendment rights. Are they more capable and safer with firearms? This is demonstrably and objectively false and an utterly ludicrous assertion.

Agreed. Unless they're dedicated to 2A, they usually don't like having to carry and only do so on the job. Likewise, they only meet minimum quals. Sometimes, that's way less than the average range person like us. But they're LE and we aren't. So they are trusted more. Is that right? Absolutely not, but it's the way it is... at least for now.

Precisely. If you want to OC an AR-15, go live in Jerusalem. They do that there. Again, I would not ever... I'd stay concealed. I don't ever want to show what I have unless/until I absolutely had to.

Whiners from the northeast, no wonder .

Mostly wineo' s and rino's up there. Exception being Bangor.

Great place to get together with like minded people. The kind that get shit done instead of 😭 about it.

I heard they're tearing down Robles Park. Long overdue.
ya know St.Pete/Pinellas has also changed a lot. has always been liberal, crowded and poorly run. violent crime is hard to know from where i sit but it was way common back in the 70s than the city rulers let on. i spent enough time in 2 ERs there to not know that. Tampa always in the lead but parts of St.Pete were and i assume still are not good places to be white.

Two different things. "Constitutional Carry" (actually "Permitess Carry" in FL) only allows one to carry without the need for a License/Permit, as long as you are, otherwise, eligible to carry per State Law. One needs only a valid DL or state ID. But that has nothing to do with OC (how one carries) and FL law still made that illegal.

Now, apparently, some courts have struck down FL's law banning OC. We'll see how long that holds before being challenged again. And, Publix is responding to the strikedown. We'll see how it goes, but I think I'll stay "concealed" and maintain my CWFL. It does things for me that Permitless carry can't. 1) Reciprocity in other states; 2) Immediate FFL delivery instead of waiting 3 days; 3) Carry within 1000 ft. of a School Zone.
I also believe in Constitutional Carry and Texas finally now has that, thanks to Gov. Abbott. However, I still keep up my LTC for the same reasons as you. Recoprocity and also, effortless transfers at an FFL. And who knows, Texas could revert to permits required.

I don't normally carry open, even around people who know I carry. It's not truly concealed. I wear a t-shirt and over that a really large angler shirt. Under the angler shirt is my M&P full size 9 mm with the 17 rd double stack mag in an OWB. During summers out in the shop part of our business, I may stow it somewhere safe and handy.

I am not afraid to open carry but concealed does offer a tactical advantage. And, if people don't know I am carrying, I could be even less a target for weapon theft.

I modify that when hunting. I will open carry in a drop holster because I wear a back pack with a waist line comfort belt. But then, I am also holding a rifle. When I am done for the day, I remove the drop holster and put on the OWB and go back to concealing under shirts or a coat, depending on the weather.

Spare me. Wtf does being an open carry fucktard have to do with anything? That has jack shit to do with anything related to being pro gun. Not once has one of you assholes waving your CCW badge ever stopped or prevented a crime much less saved yourselves.
I have one problem with this statement.

A CCW or LTC is not license to play LEO. It is meant for self-defense, yes. But those of us here with CCW or LTC cards may not have had to pull our weapons because of circumstances in our lives, not because of OC or not.

When I carried on duty, I unholstered my weapon twice but did not have to shoot.

Another time, personally, I drew my .38 Special because I was being fired upon at night. The guy missed me. I took cover but did not shoot back.

So, yes, I have been shot at and have pulled my weapon but I have not shot back. Which does not mean that I would not be able to do it, just that the fluidity of the situation did not lead to that.
