Went out to confirm zero one last time on my 18” 7 WSM with a diligent LTI suppressor. Got some speeds on it for the first time. Shooting factory 162 ELD-X precision hunter. This rifle drives tacks and will be packed into the mountains next month for my elk hunt.

LOL! From what I’ve seen, there may be some truth in that. And I run a brake on one of my rifles! However, the barrel’s 24” long and sticks out beyond where neighboring shooters are sitting. That, plus the practice of not setting up that rifle to shoot without at least one empty bay between me and neighbors on the line makes it not bad on them. At least that’s what they’ve told me. Sitting directly adjacent to braked , short barreled rifles can almost be intolerable. For me, it’s not the noise as much as the concussion.
I run two port brakes on a few guns. The rifle in the back of that pic has one, it’s an 18 inch 7-08.
None of them are as barky as the 10.3 556 gun with a birdcage

I have a brake on all my rifles. Actually an adapter for my suppressors. Helps with recoil when the can is off, but it’s loud.

Hey now, I had to drive to Bradenton in morning commute traffic to fix a rifle.
And pick up an AG Composites stock for my shorty build...
So, neener, neener.
A decade back it was about 35 minutes. Now that amount of time doesn't get me to 301.
Sexy. I still want to get a Night Stalker for my shorty. Perhaps I'll just have to build another...
How are you liking the seekins? I've been wanting one for a while. What barrel length did you get?
I also debate going complete custom route with an origin and custom barrel in a chassis of my flavor.
I really like it. It is the 18" barrel. I wanted the 24" but this is all anyone had in stock and I sold my only .308. I just plan to buy the 24" barrel when they are available. Also a .223 bolt head and barrel.
