Prayer Request Thread

Update on my new job with the county. Everything is going very well. I struggled some with the decision to accept it because it was part time to start. I felt though that God led me to the opportunity and I honestly just felt peace about it, so did Angie.

Addiction work is a sort of specialized thing and I was glad I was offered the position. I fit in well, my coworkers are all very good folks and very professional. I am very happy there.

A coworker announced she is retiring and this leaves her full time position open. I was told it was mine if I wanted it, full benefits and all 🙌🏻 before the end of the year 😊

Then, last week, my boss confided in me that she is close to being ready to retire as well and that I was picked during the interview process as her possible successor. She wants me to start learning how she does it (compared to how I did it for LCG) and gave me a lot of encouragement and praise.

This is such a blessing.

I am just in awe of how His provenance works. I am glad I listened to the quiet voice telling me to be still. Thanks to all of you for your prayers.

Hey, guys. I have a pretty serious request. It’s not for me, it’s for a doctor friend of ours, one of her patients, and her family.

She was seeing a pregnant mom all the way through her pregnancy with no dramatics. At 36wks they did an ultrasound that was fine. 37wks they couldn’t find a heartbeat no matter what they tried. She had to go to the hospital, induce mom, and ended up delivering a perfect but dead baby that had a very tight knot in his umbilical cord.

I can barely get through typing this, it’s just such an awful situation.

If you count from the point of conception, 20% and even up to 30% result in miscarriage, but only 5% occur after 20 weeks. To go so far with expectations of a healthy normal baby must be absolutely devastating; I can't imagine.

May God grant that family, and that doctor, peace with this outcome. Prayers for peace. 🙏🙏

Hard to accept why bad things happen to good people, but we must remember all things work together for good and His glory.

Prayers for all involved. I pray that this results in them all being drawn closer to our Lord and Savior.
I have to thank God for the hard times as well as the good. As was stated by UKD, all things work together for our good and God's glory. He has overcome death and I know where that child is right now.
God uses the trials that we Christians face to refine us and sanctify us for the glorification to come.

Not sure about the parents involved but our Dr friend is definitely a strong Christian. Her husband has some position in their church and our mutual faith is one of the main strengths of our friendship
