If this were to happen in the US very few if any countries are going to come to our aid, as they will have their own problems to deal with resulting from the knock-on effects of the US being out of the game. He went through the thick of it and then some. Mad max style roving gangs with women for sale in cages, .mil snipers and machine gun teams + arty barrages on a daily basis. Along with sick rich freaks going in for murder tourism acting as “snipers” gunning down starving innocent civilians as @sirhrmechanic mentioned. Child trafficking because the mother and father were starving. Every terrible thing under the sun you can possibly imagine that they don’t talk about in the books… Selco lived it.
It would be foolish to think any major population center in USA wouldn’t undergo the same if power and water got shut off.

1. What sort of calamity would knock all of this out? My solar panels, batteries and inverter included.

2. Look at whats going on in Ukraine, they have been fighting since 2014 and full blown war since 2022, with targeted attacks on energy infrastructure occurring on both sides. Ukraine, while severely limited and damaged, still gets power/energy to most areas of the country as does Russia.

I am just curious what scenario are people playing out in their heads that power/energy nation wide is completely destroyed and not repaired?

My point being, if something like (enter your doomsday scenario here) did occur, what ever caused it, would likely be a hell of a lot bigger problem.

A coordinated cyber attack on the NA grid and various transformers that are ordered years in advance would cripple vast areas of the US and Canada. The public will beg for “a king to rule over them”. Government will stand up a bogeyman to go to war with in order to vent the violence in a “righteous” way. Not a new story, just a re-release of the same old bullshit.

In so many minds on SH maybe; but even here, when another Pearl Harbour or 9/11 show plays out, many will say, “We have to put aside our differences and work together for the greater good”, ie killing “those people over there” etc. humans are sadly predictable.

sorry,gotta call bull shit on this and a lot of Trumps foreign policy abortions. he said when running that he could end it in 1 day. not really but stopping ALL aid-weapons,cash,intel,targeting could have been done in maybe a month. fighting the MIC,CIA,neo cons and the congress blobs would have taken some time and harsh actions. could have been done. ask yourself how much was spent just in his 9 months. it's in the billions,which we don't have. there has never been any American nat'l interest in that war,which we helped foment.
don't even get into Israel,Gaza,Venezuela,Iran. no excuse for any of those.
