I took my Tikka 22-250 with Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP 6-24 scope out to the range to dial it in. I am zeroed in at 200 yards, about an inch high at 100 yards, and about 6-ish inches low at 300. However, I am also 2-3 inches right at 300 yards. I re-leveled my scope at the range, as it was crooked. I re-leveled the scope while the gun was just resting on its bipod, on level ground (verified with bubble level). Might my scope still be crooked? Any input would be appreciated!

There's so many things that could be contributing to that amount of error, it's next to impossible to pin it on one thing with the information given.

- How did you determine the scope was crooked?
- Were the scope's turrets crooked in the mounts or just the reticle crooked?
- The bubble level verified level ground. Was it a concrete slab or earth? What kind of level? How accurate is the level? How secure was the rifle while you were performing the work to relevel the scope?
- Downrange wind
- Body position
- Natural point of aim
- Head position
- Trigger press
- The fact that your other post pointed to a bad scope

Start eliminating things one at a time. First, I'd try a different scope if possible.

I’m thinking that scope’s going back to the store. Thanks!
