Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Not sure where you got your g-wagen knowledge.

It’s a triple locked dual solid axle ladder framed truck under there lol. Extremely popular as a military off-road vehicle. Selected by MARSOC as their recon truck when a Jeep was for sure right there instead.

More than a capable rig off-road.

Bought it instead of a Rubicon when my buddies brand new rubicon crapped out both rear axle shafts with the most minor provocation possible...while shattering the factory locker.

Had to get a tow from a modded Cherokee to get off the trail. Before the engine exploded in the Cherokee too.
Nice poser pic. I have one too.

I should say, I actually drove over that...bring your g-waon, it will be fun.
Got over all of that a long time ago when I was still young. If you haven’t ever been in one - go crawling in a truggy sometime. It’s like your first time in a real purpose built track car.

I value the places my G has taken me that I wouldn’t trust a Jeep with reliability wise.

nice roads...I did that in a sub compact front wheel drive car...during a blizzard. Weak ass baby shit. Thanks for playing.

We are talking about the original map of Texas not as it is now.

But, Alaska wins by only 40 miles. Great cirle distance from Bownsville to Casper vs Ketchikan to Barrow.. I withdraw the statement. The problem with the map has to do with high latitudes and curvature of the earth and when printed the map appears bigger than it is.

Brownsville to Casper 1100 air miles.

Amateurs! Louisiana Purchase - 827,000 square miles. There were 11 states were created out of the Louisiana Purchase - Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Oklahoma. Hold my beer!

I don’t know what it is with some people. The thread is the Motivational Picture Thread. We come on here to relax and get a good laugh from funny memes, see cool pics, hot women, high heels that we can’t afford, but some people just want to argue about stuff. Nobody cares that they want to argue, just start a thread and argue all you want. I think it’s pretty ignorant when someone will say something about knocking it off, and they get a pretty dang stupid reply of, “it’s the bear pit, and I can say what ever I want”. All you are doing is showing your low level of intelligence. Of course it’s the bear pit, stupid! But it’s also the MPT, the very first post lays down the rules, no politics, no religion. Get with the program, quit acting like spoiled little bitches, and long live the MPT for its intended purpose!

King, is your G Wagen gas or diesel? If diesel, turbo or naturally aspirated?
Turbo diesel G wagen is on my list of trucks to own. I worked as a line tech for a Mercedes dealer during the heyday of the 617 turbos.

Alaska Is Big!
You could fit Texas into Alaska 2 times! One-fifth the size of the Lower 48, Alaska is bigger than Texas, California, and Montana combined! Alaska is also far-flung: 3.1 times wider (east to west) and 1.9 times taller (north to south) than Texas.

Something to note however is check and see how much of Alaska actually belongs to Alaska and not to the Feds...
The compare how much of Texas belongs to Texas and not to the Feds...

Then things shrink a bit.

It’s a gasser. My buddy did a turbo diesel conversion on his and at the end of the day he got 1 more mpg and my 5L was easier to drive.

Also found it easier to get gas in strange places and had fewer cold start issues.

I never developed high, or even moderate expectations of social media. I was an early user of the Internet, file-sharing among sites of a global technical group, then dipping into Usenet. There was an infamous flame war on rec.backcountry.skiing, a Usenet newsgroup, where two dudes went over the top with threats. One of the two stalked the other, was caught, charged and convicted. That sort of set my ground zero on social media. Usenet in general gave me the concept of a quality troll.

Here on the Hide, I just treat it like a day working, shooting, fishing or hunting: some days are better than others.

Can you just imagine what kind of personality it takes to be irrationally angry about a strangers choice in vehicles though? It might be fun if you respond and poke the bear. Haven't seen a good self destruct thread in a while.

That's weird, Cowpokey can't get any likes on his posts. Maybe it's because no one gives a shit about his Jeeps but him. Fun to watch him aggressively argue with no one though.
Possibly because posting in "motivational" thread, vs. funny memes thread.

I know people passionate about their off-road antics but the rest of the world really doesn't give a damn.
