    Re: xlr owners? I wouldn't worry about strength if you cut it, it will be fine. Really any material before or after the mounting screws is just for looks and doesn't add any structure.

    I have a Savage 110 bvss single shot rifle that I want to have an adjustable cheek put in/on it. I remember some guys talking about a guy doing that not to long ago and he was doing a good job, I just don't know who that was. Any help would be appreciated.
