Anyone Having Trouble Hooking Prochrono to PC???

Re: Anyone Having Trouble Hooking Prochrono to PC??? That must be an old cable because the current ones are USB. I had no problems hooking my USB cable to my PCD or to my computer. I'd consider just ordering the new USB connectivity kit. The program works very well but I'm always a bit...

Re: 22-250 savage twist rates and types? The cheapest way to get a 9 twist .22-250 Savage is to rechamber a takeoff .223 Rem Savage barrel.

Re: Hornady Electronic Dispenser/Scale Heck, I don't even trickle. I just throw and go with my old Lyman 55. The Hornady unit is on sale right now at Grafs though, $186.

    Quick load

Re: Quick load I wouldn't call the powder selection really out of date. They have Reloader 33 and Reloader 50 as well as a bunch of newer powders. Any software program you get will have a lag time between component introductions and inclusion in the program. Same with printed material.

    Chronograph Choice

Re: Chronograph Choice Would the Magnetospeed change POI since it hangs on the end of the barrel? I'm also interested in hearing a report on the PVM-21.

    Chronograph Choice

Re: Chronograph Choice I'd agree with the others about the Oehler 35 but if you want a darn good chronograph for 1/5th the money I would recommend the Pro Chrono Digital and add the USB Connectivity kit so you can manipulate the unit and sort the data from the bench. The PCD is so much better...

    Thoughts/Opinions on Chronographs

Re: Thoughts/Opinions on Chronographs The PCD is pretty light so if there is any appreciable wind you'll want to weigh your tripod down some.

    Thoughts/Opinions on Chronographs

Re: Thoughts/Opinions on Chronographs There is a relatively new chronograph on the market now being sold by the good folks at NECO. The PVM-21. At $750 it is even more expensive than the Oehler but it seems like a different type of unit. I'd like to hear if anyone has tried the PVM-21 yet.

Rifle Scopes 2 Questions about Bushnell Elite & Pentax scopes

Re: 2 Questions about Bushnell Elite & Pentax scopes The New Elite scopes are, like RFutch said, the old 4200 with upgraded coatings, Rainguard HD, and different fill gas. The Pentax GameSeeker isn't even in the same ballpark as the Elites. Bought 2 or 3 of the Pentax and I wasn't impressed...

    Savage Rifle Question.

Re: Savage Rifle Question. The older pre AccuTrigger Savages (not the very earliest ones from 1958 to the mid to late 60's) have either a three screw or a two screw trigger. Either of these can be very easily tuned to be a pretty nice trigger. My old, well worn two screw Savage trigger is...
