Hunting & Fishing FoxPro Predator electronic call

Re: FoxPro Predator electronic call I have the original Prairie Blaster. It was my first electronic call and has blown away my expectations. My remote has never failed me at ranges out to 150 yards or so. The PB is really loud but also heavy. If I were to do it all over again, I'd buy one of...

Hunting & Fishing Sub MOA Deer Rifle in .308 or 30/06

Re: Sub MOA Deer Rifle in .308 or 30/06 I have a Kimber Montana in 308 that is a 5lb 2 oz bundle of joy. When I'm driving it right with hand loads, it shoots incredibly well. Many of my buddies have tried to buy it from me but I'll never sell it. They make a stainless synthetic and blued...

CCI subsonic segmented 40 gr HP, thoughts?

Re: CCI subsonic segmented 40 gr HP, thoughts? Winchester 40 gr. subsonics work really well in my 22's. Nearly every subsonic round I have ever tried shoots better than the hyper velocity stuff

Hunting & Fishing scored a ticket to America

Re: scored a ticket to America They kill some huge bears in California. Usually it is done using hounds. You could also shoot up to Alaska as their season is definitely open at that time. I think I remember the Cali bear season is only open for the month of November but could be wrong / outdated.

Hunting & Fishing Anyone use their 375 cheytac/snipetac for hunting?

Re: Anyone use their 375 cheytac/snipetac for hunting? Not exactly what you asked for but I had a Bansner Ultimate Rifle in 375 RUM that hunted all over for 8 years or so. It took everything from Whitetails (had to try it) to Hippos, Brown Bear to Polar Bear, to Elk and Moose. I shot the...

    First 10/22

Re: First 10/22 Every 22 I have ever owned has loved Winchester 40gr subsonic. $3.99/box. Everything from a $200 10/22 to a $1500 Volquartsen in rifles and various 22/45's with and without the Tac Sol upper in pistols, has made nice little groups with the stuff. It also kills varmits DRT.

Re: Help me with my 22/45 please!!!! Make sure the "hammer" falls forward before you close up the backstrap lever. I had a similar situation the ONE time I took mine apart and I remember having to tilt it one way or another until you heard it fall into place. Check out some other 22/45 videos...

Hunting & Fishing Where would you go? What would you hunt?

Re: Where would you go? What would you hunt? Have hunted all over the planet but hands down, I'd go back to Alaska without a second thought. A boat based Brown Bear hunt out of Port Alexander or Afognak Island is an epic adventure that is totally different from staying in a lodge or a tent...

    Hunting & Fishing Water Buffalo?

Re: Water Buffalo? Any of the bonded bullets will work fine. If you are really going to eat it, I'd take it in the neck / base of the skull. Have taken them that way with a 308 and they drop like a brick. Not sure if you won a trophy bull or not but if I had the choice and was going to eat...
