    That doesn't make them a custom shop, and if the OP wants to search will take about 2 minutes to find and verify this. Colt has a custom shop, Springfield has a custom shop. Kimber has the custom shop dies.

    NOT THROUGH KIMBER!!! They have no actual custom shop. Call SACS, Colt Custom, Alchemy Custom, Combat Precision and there's many others as well. Dan Wesson's are very nice guns for the money!

    Gunsmithing AR upper and barrel fit

    Mine was the AR15 version, not the 10. But iirc the manual states to lube the outside of barrel/chamber where it slides into the upper. My WOA barrel required some taps to get it fully seated- just means Mega is holding tolerances tighter which was what the intent was going with quality parts...

    I'm a big Springfield fan. If you're patient you should be able to find a used Vbob for a deal- prices on DW's are all over the board sometimes, but they are VERY nice guns.

    The flaw with your theory is you had the choice to wait for a complete upper, or buy one minus BCG and hope to get one later. Good luck on the hunt and just keep checking their site.

    If going to that extent I'd add a PTG bolt just because. And also highly second (well fifth or tenth now) ditching SSS and going with Rayhill. SSS does good work from all accounts- IF you can be extremely patient and get lucky.
