Rifle Scopes Bushnell 10x vs swfa 10x

Have both, love both. Mine are mil-dot/ moa turrets in both cases. Both are now available in mil/mil now so that's even. Both track perfectly even on heavy magnums so that's even. Both have serviceable (good for there price) glass so thats even. relative but even. Both have a ridiculous amount...

    Tikka Rifles

The WSM's potential really can not be capitalized on until you go long action. I think we will see allot more long actions chambered in short mags over the next couple years. At least one more in my house and a heavy barreled tikka to boot.

    Tikka Rifles

Love them, every one I have ever seen was free floated. If they would import the heavy barreled rifles in more calibers I probably would not feel the need to build all my rifles. After market stocks, chassis and bolt parts have come leaps and bounds in just a year or two. The actual...

    Range Report Should know better

I had it happen twice on the same rifle. That rifle and everyone since then has a layer of devcon steel bedding compound bonding them to the action. Life is too short and opportunities are to rare to leave anything to chance.

    Range Report Velocity problem

I decided a couple years ago when I forced my chrono into retirement that unless your pushing it right to the edge of the supersonic range: Life is much simpler without a digital read out of velocity. It definitely sounds fast but if your inputs are solid and verified and your drops are...

    XLR Element vs KRG X-Ray?

I have bean considering my first chassis based build. This is the same decision I've bean struggling with. Considering the lop adjustment standard for the element design vs spacer on the x-ray,only relevant do to my rifles being used by the wife on occasion and XLR's support of all the actions I...

    D.I.Y. Rear Bags

Great looking bags. Someday I'll make the wife show me how to post pictures (joke) just to make you feel better. My first............only.........batch of rear bags were manufactured by cutting different sized sections of pant leg off worn out BDUs. Loosely double bagging rice from the pantry...

    Range finders

This is clearly ONLY my opinion based on the fact that I have run mostly low end range finders and given the current capabilities of a $260 bushnell g-force or a $400 bushnell 1600...........there is no need to spend more unless your reaching past 1200. Rocks, brush, trees, dear, grassy hillside...

    28" barrel .308 win

. Large targets like rock chucks at 800 yards? This debate is boring and redundant. Shorter barrels are stiffer and so are shorter actions. So what? I have long action- long barrel guns that are way more accurate than I will ever be making it a mute point. A pointless theoretical solution to a...

    28" barrel .308 win

What's a magic number? I tend to prefer shorter barrels myself but you can't dispute the velocity gains from the longer tubes.

typical 5 shot group with my home built 308 Savage.

Thats impossible, savages are cheep and inaccurate.................Grin..................I would build them for fun if I could. I am a Pure savagest with a touch of tikka just so I aint accused of being a perfectionist. Well done.

    28" barrel .308 win

I can tell you how accurate my 16" gun is or that I really do shoot long range with it but more to the point............"those people are idiots." A good barrel is a good barrel, in a good gun will be accurate and more velocity is well............ more velocity. Really is that simple.

    7 Rem Mag

    7 Rem Mag

My opinion only:heavy gun= 260 has some modest recoil, 7mm has some modest recoil, 300 win has some modest recoil, 338 edge with a good break has modest recoil. Light gun=ya allot more recoil. For hunting light game the 7mm mag is overkill and for heavy game it's underkill. For general...

    Teludyne Tech StraightJacket

At $400 I was going to do a t3 that already shoots great but heats quickly. Few months later.....$700........don't think so. Don't even know what they run now days but since it cost more than a new barrel, smithing and load development..........No.

Where to bring your rifle to have it glass bedded in oklahoma.

Your garage or spare bedroom will work. Have you considered the dining room table? Glass bedding a rifle is a very simple procedure and can easily be done by anyone. There are some great tutorials available online and threw out the forums for details on glass bedding your particular action..

Rifle Scopes Suggestions on Vortex reticle ?

If your starting from scratch it is six one way and half a dozen the other, do not obsess about it. If your more familiar with one over the other and need to hit the ground running, get that one. On the other hand if you want to increase your understanding of a variety of systems and have...

Rifle Scopes SWFA Super Sniper ?? what power 10,12,or 16 ??

If you do not know what tracking is why on earth would you be looking at tactical scopes? There sole purpose is tracking. Confused. I am a huge bushnell elite fan, I know some of there lesser glass is still OK but NO $80 scope tracks reliably, hence the market for $300+ scopes.
