    Rifle Scopes Scope power for 16.5" .308

    I have bean running mine with a 10x and was content until the rock chucks came out, now I am missing my hi power so it's going to get a 6-24x50 this weak end. I'll leave the 5" sunshade on it just to emphasize the big scope/little gun appearance.

    I like my vortex and love my bushnells. I have never noticed the eyebox on the bushy to be overly sensitive, I notice it on the vortex. The edge in glass goes to the bushnell also but they both work well and until I use them side by side I have nothing to complain about with either .

    If you want accuracy out of the box and under 1k, I would stick with savage or tikka. If you wanted to put more money in the same gun later, Savage. If you want to put allot more money in the same rifle later, remington.

    I like the 10x but would vote for the 12x even if they where both in stock.............It really is win-win................ with a slight edge in magnification.
