    Bolt action preferably 270, 30-06, 7mm mag...open to others. No hard to find calibers. Strictly for hunting deer and possibly elk. I would like something ready to go with a decent scope. I am on a budget so I'd like to keep the price as low as possible. Not looking for any custom builds.

    Re: hot weather deer harvest - how to care for meat? The weather during rifle season has been so warm the past few years we had to deal with this in the winter. Hanging and packing cavity with ice has worked in 60 degree weather. In 90 degree weather I would get in cooler asap.
