Re: Recomend a Mk12 SPR Scope
I too have the Bushnell 3-12x on my "SPR". I got it when they were being closed out. I'd buy it again, even at full price. There's one for sale right now in the px, though it may have sold yesterday.
Re: Opinions on 12x vs 16x?
I'm trying to make that same exact decision myself. Except it'll be going on a
.308 and for mostly 200yrd max.
I'm looking forward to the responses.
I'm pretty set on a Savage 10 PC and now I need to decide on rings and a base. I like the idea of a steel base and EGW seems to be a popular choice around here. Rings are a bit harder to decide on. I'm thinking Seekins, but I'm open to popular opinion. I do believe I'll be needing low rings. I'd...
Re: One scope, two rifles
Thanks for the replies. I've decided to just do it right and take my time. I'm going to leave the scope and one piece on the AR. I'll be purchasing a SS, base and rings for the new Savage.
I'm looking into purchasing my first bolt gun and need some mounting advise. I'm using a Bobro mount on my AR and would like to use the same scope for both guns. This will be until I can purchase an additional scope. I know it won't be ideal but it's just the way it is for now.
I'd like to keep...
Re: I screwed up my bolt carrier
Just returned from the range and it fired fine, and the chrome looked ok too.
Funny thing is I'm terrible at regular maintanance, it's the first time I bothered to clean it since I got it. It's been a few hundred rounds since it's first time out. I don't...
So I decided to clean my bolt carrier in my new ultrasonic cleaner. I used the same method as I do for my brass. And was that a mistake! I managed to ef it up pretty good. Seems that vinigar wasn't the best idea.
Might be a good reason to have it NP3'ed
Re: Bipods: Why I'm Returning a Tangodown for an Atlas
I looked at VLTOR's for a long time. But I ended up with an Atlas and I'm very happy I did. It's a magnificent piece of kit.
As the title says, care to share your recipe? I've been working up a load for my Douglas, Centurion Arms build and I'm wondering how your barrels are doing. With combinations of Nosler, Sierra, TAC, and Varget I've managed about .75 Moa.
Re: Which larue mount is the right one for my rifle
I'd go with the LT-104, as you don't have a monolithic upper.
Not to turn this into a brand war but I'll leave my two cents. I used a Larue for a while and it worked fine. That being said, I didn't like the way it mared the rail. I also...
Re: my APT looks better than my PST..??????????
My APV surprises me sometimes, I don't look through it too often so I forget. The Mueller has better than you would think clarity.
Re: Scope for rimfire
The APT wasn't available when I purchased my APV. But the APT is what I'd get if I did it again. As for the warrenty, I've heard nothing but good things. These scopes have been compared to ones at 2x the price.
Re: Scope for rimfire
You are going to get many recommendations, and here's another: Mueller APV.
It is adjustable for parallax and the glass is very clear for the price. It's a tough one to beat for $130. You can check out many great reviews over on Rimfircentral if you don't believe me.
I'm wanting to purchase a Triple Eight Professional knife, but can't find any in stock. Does anyone know of some place that may have them? This was going to be a birthday gift for my father, but it looks like I may need to think of something else.
