Best reasonably priced 223 bolt gun.
I purchased a used LNIB Tikka 223 1:8 Scout CTR off of GB several months back for $800 couldn't tell it wasn't new even had the factory box and papers. Put a Bushnell Elite Tactical 3-12x44mm w/G2DMR reticle on it great little rifle we have really enjoyed it.- N0mad

First rifle wants...
Tikka? .223 1:8 twist, 20" heavy barrel they're out there I bought a LNIB used one couple months ago. I put a Bushnell 3-12X44 ET w/G2DMR reticle on it. Put some 77 Grain MatchKing BTHP through it last Saturday taking it out to 200 yards nice groups but I need more time and ammo with it to find...- N0mad

The short comings of the CTR or any other model wasn't my point as I'm not selling anything. If you took a moment to look through the Grouse River website you would notice that they also have the Varmint and Sporter models in a selection of calibers. Recommended .22 WMR rifle and loads for hunting hogs?
Your right about the .17 WMR availability it is sporadic but I see the .17 HMR everywhere I go Walmart, BX (Base Exchange), Cabelas and LGS's I'd get the .17 HMR in a heartbeat.
