More economical to rebuild 300 win mag or to buy a new one?

Sell your gun and get a custom action. It will almost be a wash price wise and you will end up with a better gun.

    $1500----7mm Rem Mag or 300 WM----what make?

The best thing about savages is that you don't need a gunsmith to work on them. However, you can go remage route with remingtons also.

Rifle Scopes Zero stops for SWFA Super Sniper Scopes

Skullybones was kind enough to send me a set to try out on my Sightron SIII 6-24 Mil-Hash FFP. The set he sent me were designed for the SS so the thickness markings were off since the travel on the SS and the Sightron Mil are different. The 1/4 shims took up about 1/3 of a revolution of the SS...

Rifle Scopes Why no love for Mark 4 with M5 turrets?

Wouldn't it be a fairer comparison be a razor hd or Bushnell ERS. You also have the SS 5-20 HD in that price range.

The best price I've seen is on dvor.com when they have them. Make sure you Google search for a 10 percent coupon or free shipping coupon.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper PST clarity

My sightron is perfectly clear at 24X. I can see the fringe around 22 holes at 100 yards and I have crappy eyes with extreme astigmatism. It's not nice as the S&B I looked through today but it was close enough to not leave me wanting to spend over 3K for a scope. Okay that's a lie, the S&B was...

Rifle Scopes beginner scope help. help me choose bushnell, nightforce, swfa, or vortex

I don't think anyone knows because few have actually seen it since it's so new. All I know is that it's built in different country(Philippines) so having the same glass is far from a sure thing.

Rifle Scopes Zero stops for SWFA Super Sniper Scopes

I think it's closer to .042". I think the dead space in the cap is a little over one washer but I don't know for sure. I just stacked the washer until I got less that one revolution below zero and then I used foil tape(total hack) to fill in the rest.

Rifle Scopes Zero stops for SWFA Super Sniper Scopes

.031" thick washer is 37 clicks on a Sightron 6-24x50 FFP mil/mil scope. There are 50 clicks to a turn. The inside diameter of the turret cap is 1.04" and the outside of the turret post is around .36".

Rifle Scopes Zero stops for SWFA Super Sniper Scopes

They will fit a sightron. The question would be if they match the turns of the SS. I'm using 1/32" thick washers on my sightron right now and each washer take up over a half turn. I haven't had time to take exact measurements but I will report back.

What are the inside and outside dimensions of the shims? I want to see if they would fit my sightron scope.

It has not been an issue on mine but it's nothing a little loctite can't fix. I don't see it becoming an issue. Will report back if it does.

BEST knife sharpener I've ever used

As someone who makes knives as a hobby, I can tell that is one of the biggest myths in knives. Most knives are tempered at temperatures over 300 degrees, which means, if you can touch the metal without burning yourself, you will not ruin the temper. You don't have to worry unless the metal...
