    Well I'm not finished with my development but the load I settled on last weekend was this: Lapua 6.5-284 brass necked up, Fed 215 LM primer, 48.6 gr RL 17, Berger 168 classic hunter seated -0.040. Yielded 2650fps with 5 rounds in one ragged hole smaller than a dime. I had mechanical issues...

Funny that wind is much of an issue even with that light bullet...considering the high BC and really high velocity that you're getting. The 150 @ 3150 does better out...

    I don't know about anyone else but I built a .284 so that I could take advantage of bullets with BC's in the .600+ range. :) .520 I could just about do with my .308.
