    Knowing the OP, I think he/we were more interested in any info on the annual 3 day shooter/observer competition that they hold at Storm Mountain each year. This year it is Sept 27-29th. How physically demanding is the civilian COF etc. Thanks, The Capn'

    best tripod for spotting scope

    I use a slick tripod as well with my Leupold Mk4 spotter. Picked up the "large" one from PRS (site advertiser) and I could not be happier. I also bought 3 of their QD plates so I can easily switch between saddle, spotter, chrony and DSLR camera. Light and compact and good and sturdy. Fits nicely...
