I would suggest regular rings instead of QD. Just slide them forward in the slot and torque to the in/lbs needed. Once the scope is in the rings, it's no issue removing everything quickly, even with the regular ones. I use barrett zero gap, but the american rifle company M10's look nice.
Nightforce scopes are very durable, I've got no experience with s&b. for a 20 Moa base, badger is hard to beat. I use barrett zero gap rings, but there are other good ones like seekins as well.
Best is a matter of opinion and personal experience. I prefer barrett zero gap on my rifles, but I'm not saying they're the best. If you're looking for options and ideas, check them out.
I too was once a first year college student studying to be a doctor...needless to say there's a long road to actually becoming one and most don't make it, including myself. First year undergrads think they know everything.
I guess this is one of the perks to living in a small town in the middle of no where. I have yet to walk into the local shop and find they were out of ammo. I've got no problem finding it at the pre-panic rate. Sorry guys, bragging I guess.
I had looked up of what the barrel looked like with the badger removed and wasn't sure it'd work. I wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any issues before I proceed. Thanks!
