Magpul= Art of the Precision Rifle

Re: Magpul= Art of the Precision Rifle LOL. Thanks home slice. I bought the Magpul DVDs several months ago. I will buy the online training next. I would take a course but want to spend my next wad on a .338 and high end optic. You're always helpful. Thanks for the info. I will Google...

Magpul= Art of the Precision Rifle

Re: Magpul= Art of the Precision Rifle Graham, what parts did he get wrong. Does Caylan, or Bynum have any good info I can read. No need to learn me, but can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.

    Savage Won't Shoot

Re: Savage Won't Shoot I have one that gave me fits at first. I discovered that the action screws were loose. Once they were squared away, the rifle shoots insanely accurate.

Rifle Scopes Mils vs Moa and FFP vs SFP

Re: Mils vs Moa and FFP vs SFP For tactical shooting, definately go FFP. The majority of shooters in these matches will be using mil & they will be teaching you many things. So that everyone is on the same page, you will probably be best served getting mil turrets. My vote is FFP w...

    A fan

Who makes a battery powered fan that mounts on a scope? It's 105 here in Oklahoma and I thought I was going to spontaneously combust while shooting today. I don't know how in the hell our troops do it but God Bless them! I'm sure being 51, fat, and out of shape doesn't help my cause, and I'm...

Rifle Scopes H2CMR vs H59 reticle

I don't understand why someone would chose a reticle like the H2CMR reticle for an FFP scope over a reticle like the Horus H59. Wouldn't it be more accurate to base your holds off a grid, rather than holding out in space? Is there an instance where the H2CMR would have an advantage? I hope to...

    Rifle Scopes FFP thin reticle?

Re: FFP thin reticle? I never really thought the FFP reticle was that dramatic as far as obscuring a target. Maybe the older ones? I believe newer FFP manufactured scopes have addressed the reticle thickness very well. I would not be concerned about it.

Re: Need help with BiFocals and Optics setup Sorry longbluff. Been offline. When you said you were looking out of the top of your glasses and outside of your RX, therefore wanting to lower the center of the scope to line up to the center of your glasses rather than the top. Yes, raise the...

    Rifle Scopes Vortex or other

Re: Vortex or other I, personally, still see to many mixed reviews on the clarity of the glass in the viper. The 6-24 PST has better glass. For long range, you will want good glass. If you're talking about the Viper HS, I am not familiar with them.

Rifle Scopes Need help with BiFocals and Optics setup

Re: Need help with BiFocals and Optics setup I have the same problem. I think raising the rings would make the scope even higher. I put a Karsten cheek rest on mine to raise my cheek weld but in the prone position, I am still looking through the tops of my glasses.

    Rifle Scopes Vortex or other

Re: Vortex or other If you go with Vortex, I would try to save a little more and get the 6-24x. The difference between FFP & SFP is about $200. You would be looking at $750-$950 plus some change.

Re: 1-6x vs ACOG Holy crap that is terrible! I have my irons zeroed for 100 yds and like the clear field of vision I get. I would like to get something for night. Afraid of red dot battery failure. I think Troy makes some tritium sights I may look into. I could then use quick detach...
