    Re: FFP thin reticle? I never really thought the FFP reticle was that dramatic as far as obscuring a target. Maybe the older ones? I believe newer FFP manufactured scopes have addressed the reticle thickness very well. I would not be concerned about it.

    Re: Vortex or other I, personally, still see to many mixed reviews on the clarity of the glass in the viper. The 6-24 PST has better glass. For long range, you will want good glass. If you're talking about the Viper HS, I am not familiar with them.

    Re: Vortex or other If you go with Vortex, I would try to save a little more and get the 6-24x. The difference between FFP & SFP is about $200. You would be looking at $750-$950 plus some change.
