Rem 700 SA Night Vision Mount

Re: Rem 700 SA Night Vision Mount I run two of them, I hate the one and the other I love . Think ones a McCann and the other is a M.A.R.S. rail. I will check the good one and post. The only complaint I have about the one is that it has a curve which is well in front of the scope and does not...

    Gunsmithing Muzzle crown pic--Question

Re: Muzzle crown pic--Question I cant say as I see any claring muzzle dings or damage but for a finished rifle crown looks pretty rough to me may be the picture. Is this a proven load in the gun....then there was problems or is this the first time you shot that load? Next with a group like...

Gunsmithing Anyone familiar with this torque wrench?

Re: Anyone familiar with this torque wrench? Not familiar with this one but it looks just like a regular inch pound torque wrench with a dial face. Severel companies make these. I actually just use a snap on model like this cant say its better just what I found at the time.

Re: Which action is the s-m-o-o-t-h-e-s-t...? The smoothest action I have ever felt is on my 1903 springfield, however that is not the question. I would vote for surgeon on this one with FN being a very very close second.

    Any dippers?

Re: Any dippers? I have a dip in right now! I am a Cope fan but at almost $8 dollars a can in NY I usually chew Grizzly as it is closer to $5 a can. I quit for three years and then folded under the pressure and went back to dipping.

Re: wife self defense weapon... I guess I would decide if she is willing to carry and shoot the weapon enough to be confident. If you are talking just in the home I would get a 20 ga youth model shotgun and load it with #4 buck and she is all set. My wife is of similar build and really likes...

Re: Dial calipers I had a cheap set of frankfort arsenal calipers and they were well not ok. Can't say they all are are bad but I can say I would trust a set of calibrated Mitutoyo's and Starret's before anything. Be sure when you buy calipers that they state they are for accurate measuring...

Re: Variation in load data? The readers digest version was that after product testing by the manufacturer...

Re: Why do so many folks want to load ammo so hot? I agree seems everyone wants hot reloads. I try to replicate factory ammo as close as possible, because I will be forced to use factory ammo in certain instances. My brother-in-law wanted to come over and use my equipment to in his words...
